You do what you want with your 200 gp. If you can afford a mount, then good for you. Regular riding horse is 75 gp, I believe.

I’d be up for that, bought an exploration pack and it weighs 59 lbs, light encumbered for me is 60.

Remember, you start with an already paid Modest lifestyle, so you can store whatever isn't needed right away at home. We'll stat the adventure in the city, you probably won't need all your rations, waterskins, torches, tents, ropes, 10-feet-poles, anvils, whatever. Don't worry too much about carrying capacity. Plus, there will be plenty of opportunity to buy a wagon or a few pack mules later on when the need actually arises.

You keep the gold you didn't spend at character creation.
