You arrive at the stadium to see that it's pretty empty and starting to get dark. The parking lot only had a few cars in it. Probably from security and janitorial staff.

There might not be anything here... but then, there might.  Nonstop went sniffing around, literally, seeing if he could find any signs of the mysterious being.

There was am odd scent here, it wasn't human, but you can't place it, It's unlike anything you've encountered before.

That was promising!  He went to see if he could follow the scent to its source.  Animal powers were great for this kind of thing!

The trail leads you to a fairly large hole in the ground near the stadium.

Curiouser and curiouser.  He went down into the hole, of course.

The tunnel got smaller and smaller, but brighter and brighter as you went.

He didn't need light, and he could dig a bigger tunnel if he had to.  He kept going.

Eventually the tunnel opened again and you found yourself in a massive chamber. With a four foot tall humanoidish rabbit.

"Oh, uh, hey there," said Nonstop.  "How's it going?"

The rabbit quickly began to dig a tunnel away from you.

Well, he might as well follow.

"Look," he said.  "I can dig as fast as you can, all right?  I just want to talk."

"You...wanna talk?" the rabbit asked.

"Sure," said Nonstop.  "I'm just curious.  I haven't seen any people that look like you before, and I wanted to say hi, and find out what was going on.  Normally, there isn't a lot of digging going on in a place like this..."

"Well, I suppose I'm kind of a refuge," the rabbit said.

"From where?" Nonstop asked.

"It's another die-mension," the rabbit said. "I figured yours looked a lot more boring and quiet."

"Yours must be pretty intense, then," said Nonstop.  "There's a lot of stuff going on around here.  So what's the plan now that you're here?"

"Eh, I thought I'd take it easy for a while," the rabbit said. "My life's been pretty chaotic until now."

"I guess that's fair," said Nonstop.  "Just be careful with the digging.  We have a lot of underground wires and pipes and things, and some of them would be really bad if you cut into.  Uh, for you, especially."

"I'm tougher than I look," the rabbit said. "Besides I know what's there when I dig."

"That's good," said Nonstop.  "...also, cutting into a pipe might be very bad for a bunch of other people.  And your burrow.  But you're a pro; I'll assume you've got it."

"Yeah, weren't a lot of you types where I'm from. Just in a couple of cities and stuff like that," the rabbit said.

"Huh," said Nonstop. "So can you just pop between worlds whenever you want?"

"Kinda, but I'm gonna stay here. It's nice and quiet and I don't have weird looking humans with speech impediments hunting me," the rabbit said.

"Well, all right," said Nonstop.  "I guess I'll leave you to it, then.  Take care."

"Whoa, whoa, there's no rush. Pull up a chair and help yourself to some carrot juice," the rabbit said.

You did notice some stools and a mini-fridge down here.

"Well, all right," said Nonstop.  He took a seat.  Carrot juice was odd, but heck, he could digest it.  He could digest almost anything...

The rabbit took out what looked like a bottle of wine from the mini fridge and poured two glasses. It was certainly orange like carrot juice. He handed one glass to you.

"I brought this from my home dimension. It's a good vintage."

"Uh, thank you," said Nonstop.  He sipped it delicately, letting his advanced taste-buds figure out just what it was, really.

It did taste like carrots, but you get a small hint of alcohol. Less than a beer. Perhaps two or three percent at most.

He still sipped.  That much alcohol would do nothing to him at all, but one didn't want to guzzle.

"I'm guess by the funny P.J.s that you're one a them 'sooper-heroes'," the rabbit said as he drank. "What's that like?"

"Well, it's a thing, you know?" said Nonstop.  "Hang with my buds, go out, help people, stop bad guys, investigate mysteries.  It's all good.  Besides which, I've already got the powers.  It's a shame to not use them, and I'm not going to be enough of a jerk to use them to hurt people."

"Ah. Well, it's certainly a thing," the rabbit said.

"Yep," said Nonstop.  "Everybody's got their own reasons.  One friend of mine does it so people will accept him.  I feel bad that he feels he has to, but hey, at least he's making that effort.  Other people do it for fun or glory.  Or revenge.  I'm just trying to help."

"There were a few like that in my world, but the place was so chaotic and crazy it didn't really do much," the rabbit said.

"Yeah, I think I'm getting a vibe of what your world was like," said Nonstop.  "I guess most of this place is more peaceful than that."

"You can say that again," the rabbit said.

"It's not all peaceful, though," he warned the rabbit.  "Someone's out there giving people fire powers, for one thing.  Got some troublemakers around."

"Life'd be pretty boring without 'em," the rabbit said. "Given that you're a hero I bet you'll stop 'em."

"Well, here's hoping," said Nonstop.  "The problem is, I mostly can't even find them."

"I'm sure you can get 'em," the rabbit said. "You seem like a smart human."

"Maybe," said Nonstop.  "It's just been hard, so far.  Still... maybe."

The rabbit pulls out a script.

"I thought ya set up a meeting with the power brokers," he said, tossed the script and it faded from existence.

Yeah, that figured.

"Well, that's a thing, yeah," he said.  "Still... I'm hoping that it will actually work."

"I hear that criminals are a superstitious and cowardly lot," the rabbit said. "I'm sure ya got it."

"Well, I hope you're right, Bugs," said Nonstop.  "I hope you're right."

"Don't worry about it. You're a superhero. You guys always come out on top," the rabbit said.

"Well, most of the time," said Nonstop.  "I ought to get going pretty soon here, though.  Will you be all right here?"

"Let me walk with ya outside," the rabbit said, standing up.

"Sure," said Nonstop.  He could probably manage, but... why not?

As soon as you and the rabbit stepped outside, he reached down and picked up the hole.

"Nice talkin' with ya!" he said as he wandered off with the hole.

"See you around, Bugs!"

Well, that was that, then.  How long until that meetup now...?

The meeting was set for early tomorrow and it was starting to get late.

Nonstop headed home.
