There was an alleyway... and people were gathering.  There were noteworthy tags and signs.  It looked right.

Mingmei approached carefully.

(OOC: Out of costume.)

The crowd was excited, eager... eager for the notion of a fight, it appeared.  There were murmurings of people asking about who would take the challenge... and how likely it was that someone would be dead before the night was over.

Mingmei made her way through the crowd.

There was an empty circle in the middle of the group, and a young man, wrapped completely in clothing to hide his features, was gesturing to the crowd.

"Okay, folks," he said.  "Big chance time.  Who's willing to step up and fight for your dreams?  Who wants to fight to become the STRONGEST?"

"I'm right here," Mingmei said.

"Okay, rookie," said the man.  "And what do we call you?"

"Let's do something simple. How about 'Kick Chick'?" Mingmei said.

"Eh, fine," he said.  "Okay, folks!  Kick Chick versus MAULER MCKAY!  Hope you're ready for this kind of thing!"

A gigantic man in a ski mask walked out in front of her, cracking his knuckles.  He looked at her and grinned.

"Dude, I hope you train more than you bulk up. You look like you're gonna be slow," Mingmei said.

"You watch too many kung fu movies," Mauler observed, and then the fight was on!
