That site is using the normal increasing costs on the chart, not the 1:1 cost we are using.  The math seems fairly obvious to me, each of the 6 attributes starts at 10 and you add 28 points to them up to the usual 18 limit (before modifiers from race/level/magic).  Most classes will end up 18,18,18,14,10,10 but some my go for a slightly different split.

Hey Ricin, did you know it is possible for a wizard to learn every spell on the standard wizard/sorcerer spell list for less than 225000 gp? I was curious one day and did all of the counting and calculating. I can send the math and info your way if you are interested. (Or anyone else who might be interested.)

From my experience with a prior wizard-like character, check out the Blessed Book wondrous item. 12,500GP and you get this fun blurb "A wizard can fill the 1,000 pages of a blessed book with spells without paying the material cost."

Precisely. After that, it is only a matter of borrowing spellbooks to copy down the 1366 different spells (5397 pages). And spending the 6763 hours required to decipher/copy them.

The time required is easy, you're a wizard after all and that's less than a year of holing up to work. Borrowing spellbooks? You were a Dread Lord of Lichdom, no need to borrow from dead adventurers.

Or if we are going to go with that shared backgrounds thing you could work in some connection between either multiple wizard (or other spellbook types) here or those of us who can scrape together a 40 or more bonus diplomacy fairly easily to help.

Haha, yeah. That is how my current character would have learned his magic, Ricin. But my current character is not a wizard, and so has no use for spellbooks. Borrowed or otherwise. Except for maybe to trade them for favors.

I'm pretty sure I'll have Plane Shift and Teleportation (Psychoportation), and my concept is that I've been wandering the multiverse for a long time, trying to find out What it All Means. I'd love some shared backstory if anyone wants to concoct one.

I have been busy. I just finished recruiting for two new epic level games on another site, and have just got them set up. Now I have time to get to work on my sheet, though I have been working on build ideas already.

I am open to shared backgrounds. Check my background tab to see what my character is about, and tell me where you think we could have met.

I am nearly done with my sheet now. I just need to add some details about my minions and personal demiplane, and note down some of his buffs that are in effect. I don't mind having some shared background with people, but I am not sure if anyone would really have wanted to team up with Delricarth in the past. Click my name for his details. Let me know any ideas you may have.

I'm still working on my sheet, I am a little worried with how quiet it is.

That said, even though Ricin has around 64 children, I don't think I will take the leadership feat. I'm also now trying to figure out how to eliminate my Arcane Spell Failure chance in Full Plate.

The Still Spell metamagic feat is the only way I know of to make arcane spell failure not matter.

Has anyone found out how we are doing HP? I rolled for mine, but I wasn't sure if that was what we were doing.

Hope the DM will answer some of these questions in OOC soon. It’s a bit slow in creation for me till I get answers.

Since we opened up Spheres of Might I could blow 2 feats to get the Arcane Armor talent twice, reducing my spell failure chance to 5% in Full Plate.

Okay, my character sheet is complete and posted. I used Hero Labs to make sure that I got everything correct. It is so much simpler than making the character manually.

I believe mine is complete too. I sent a message to our GM yesterday peeing them know. Is everyone else getting close to completing character creation too?

I stopped work on mine. I'm a little nervous that this isn't going to go forward. So I'm going to hold on a bit. I'm about an evening's work from finished.

I have fiddled a bit on it since then but the core sheet was done before my first post.

No input from the GM yet, not looking good and hope that this game lives before it dies off.

I also hope this game hasn't died before it even got started. I have been very excited to play my character. Hopefully our GM has just been busy in real life and will return soon.

Considering our GM hasn't logged in for two weeks now, I am guessing this game has ended before having even gotten started. Although I am more than willing to still play if they return, it seems unlikely to happen at this point. I don't suppose anyone else has a game running that would allow a level 20 gestalt Antipaladin Necromancer, do they? I was really looking forward to playing my character...
