Those who have played COS before may know that typically we start in the death house. Since I'm running this game twice I'd like to skip the death house. You're already level 3, which by the book doesn't happen until you complete the death house, so lets have a vote.

Haven't played it before. So which ever everyone else decides.

Hmmmmm, I'm leaning towards skipping Death House.

I don't know the game sections are by name.  I'll double check in PMs with the DM. If it's the one I think, I can use it in my backstory.  I'm ok with skipping it.

yes it is, most DM's start with the death house. We have enough people who have done it before that we should skip it.


Which is great, because I'm running this game twice and I'd very much like to not do everything the same. :) Which of course it won't be the same, because you'll make different choices.

....which is what makes it so fun!

I've done Curse of Strahd 5e once when it first came out and the main thing I remember about Death House is that the Shadow monster things killed our rogue who ran ahead trying to loot everything before we could split it lol.

Never played before - no idea what the "death house" is, but it doesn't sound like somewhere I want to be.

I will whip something together.  I wanted to verify what Lando was playing first, as I was considering a Bard, and the last thing any party could probably ever need is two Bards.  I'll try to find some healing under a rock somewhere.
