"Was that good?" Umuru asked.

"Yes," Paha squeaked.

"Ah. good," Umuru said and stepped aside for Ehri.

"Do you think we should keep her, Umu?" Ehri asked.

"I suppose we could. Do you want to?" Umuru asked.

"It's very tempting," said Ehri.  Paha was giving both of them huge, shimmering eyes like a dog claiming it had never been fed at all.

"What is that look?" Umuru asked. "I don't understand."

"I do," said Ehri.  "She's being hopeful."

"Ah. Would it be okay to be dating another person?" Umuru asked. "Things seem to be expanding rapidly."

"They do," said Ehri.  "But I think we might manage.  Especially since she seems to be fond of both of us."

"That is good at least and something to look forward to after the fight," Umuru said.

"W-will you do... work on me?" said Paha.  "Like you did to her?"

Ehri blinked.

"Well, I could," she said.  "...I think this might be a little more complicated than I thought.  Or perhaps more interesting."

"Should I be jealous?" Umuru asked.

"I think she likes you, too," said Ehri.  "It's just a thing we all share, I suppose."

"Hmm. Well, she likes you too," Umuru said.

"Yes, that seems to be established," said Ehri.  "...and yet, I'm not sure that she actually understands the mechanics of any of it."

"It took me a while," Umuru said.

"Yes, but she has further to go," said Ehri.  "Well, it might wind up being a different kind of relationship, and that's fine."

"Let us get her tuned up as well then," Umuru said. "Who knows when they'll be back."

Paha blushed brightly.

"...You can both work on me if you want," she said.  "But be gentle  It's my first time."

Something about the entire conversation clearly struck Olive as hilarious, and she was trying to stifle excess amounts of laughter.

"That is a reasonable request," Umuru said.

Olive couldn't help it.  She broke down laughing.

"...Can I watch?" she asked.

"I do not see why not," Umuru said.

"Well," said Ehri, grinning.  "This could get complicated, but quite pleasant... shall we return to the lab?"

"That sounds good," Umuru said.
