Dan and Umuru were soon riding down the highway at a rate of speed that...

...well, compared to how fast Umu could fly on her own, it wasn't that fast.  But it was in line with other human ground vehicles, at least.

"Where are we going?" Umuru asked.

"There's a nice spot out of town for a picnic," said Dan.  "I packed a picnic lunch, and we can have a nice time without any interruptions!"

"Ah. That sounds nice," Umuru said.

"Yeah," said Dan.  "Fresh air, sunshine, good food, nature and privacy..."

Perception and Insight

Was that something shining in the air?  Just a dot, distant, fast-moving...

Also, it was very possible that Dan was thinking about trying something again, knowing that his sister wouldn't come barging in while he was attempting to try something more intense with Umu.

Umuru decided to keep an eye on the dot, but keep quiet for now.
