Rhy Ghor the Nok

The Nok are nomadic hunters known for their great strength and toughness. They tend to travel a lot so pick up different languages, often trade tongues of various areas, or even from old books (when literate).

Rhy Ghor is an atypically large member of his species, as a teen, he was forced to fight a giant Swampviper, which he slew and harvested food for his tribe for days.

Over time even the viper's remains were spent and his tribe moved on. Due to his food requirements, with much regret, he chose to leave his family (parents, and sisters) and tribe, so he wasn't taking extra portions from the hunt when times became leaner.

 As he left, his father gave him the tooth of the serpent inscribed with his deed in Nok, and his right to carry it as an honored-adult. Though he is still a few years from the true-right of passage, no Nok will argue it who sees the fangstaff.

Arska is a Barbarian of the Flaming Lioness tribe. The Flaming Lionesses hail from the area around the Ravaging Dunes of Time, a hard, unforgiving desert - so they have to be harder and even more unforgiving.

Like all other Flaming Lionesses, Arska had to prove her worth from an early age. Athletic, brave and determined, at sixteen Arska had become the best huntress of the tribe. That earned her the highest of honors - the tribe Matriarch herself presented Arska with her ceremonial warrioress attire, the traditional leather thong and bra made from the skin of a giant lizard.

But then, disaster struck. A band of raiders ambushed a Flaming Lioness hunting party, killing and wounding many of them. One of the casualties was a young woman called Vraksa, Arska's one true love. Heartbroken and furious, Arska wanted the raiders exterminated - but the Matriarch was afraid of losing more of her people in an open war, so the Flaming Lionesses retreated.

Young Arska was having none of that. Calling the Matriarch a coward, she vowed to return only after killing the leader of the raiders, or not return at all. Then she took her stuff and left the tribe. She would have her own revenge or die trying. For the last two years she lived as an exile, roaming the wildnerness looking for the gang.

Her travels brought Arska far to the south and west, to the settlement of Areasi. She has heard the raiders might be based somewhere in the zone, so she keeps patrolling the area, hunting local beasts for food and pelts. She visits Areasi regularly to barter, have a few drinks and enquire about the raiders.

Arska is a tall brunette, muscular and tanned after years of fighting under the sun of the wastelands. On her left thigh she proudly displays the traditional tattoo of the Flaming Lioness tribeswoman - a roaring lion with a mane of blue fire. She is never seen without her hunting spear, bone bow and obsidian dagger, as well as a set of collapsible cooking pots where she's prepared a few pigman casseroles.

Ok. Changed Mad Maggs from a Barbarian to a Scavenger just to round things out...and it still fits the general idea I had for her.

Mad Maggs can't really remember her parents. Fleeting memories of a woman's smile and a man's twinkling eyes. Then they were gone. And she was alone in the Wastes. It seemed like she had always been alone. But she could look after herself. Her parents had taught her well. She knew how to hide. And how to kill. She also knew how to find stuff...even the ancient earth tech...and fix it. Mostly she knew how to survive in the Wastes. Later...she found Areasi. Good people. Not like those in the wastes. And she helped them sometimes...bringing them things they needed. But she never stayed too long. She belonged to the Wastes.

So are you looking for BlackHack for some other reason, or to create your Sorcerer for this game? As far as I understand it, the BoTR book is enough for that.

Ziven of Nine mentions in 'Setting and Chargen Info' that we will be using the 'Black Hack Chargen variant'. Can't find that specifically in the book but on pg.8 it mentions an optional variation for generating stats...it might be this. I messaged Ziven of Nine earlier today asking about this...but haven't heard back yet.

We're using the optional 2d6+5 rule.

Okay. Rolled my stats. Next question...are we able to make one stat swap? Or is it rolling stats in order? No biggie...but I may have to re-think the Scavenger thing and go with my initial plan of Barbarian.

For this game, I am not that invested in the "gaming" aspect as much as the Shared Narrative, so let's rule that everyone can arrange their rolls to suit.

Also, procedural note before I forget: I wait for everyone to replay once before moving to the next GM post, so if you are skipping a bit, just noting that OOC is fine. Of course, social scenes betwen players will be allowed to conclude naturally.

Okay. So I've made my rolls and written it up in the 'Character Details' tab so you should all be able to see everything when you click on Mad Maggs in 'The Cast' tab and 'View Description'.
