Sarelor gasps as the claws bite through to his chest. Stumbling away, he throws the silver cutlery from the kitchen at the ghast before rolling across the bed away from the claws to distance himself from the creature. "That hurt, in so many ways," he says.

Sarelor grunts and dives across the bed to get away from the undead creature while throwing a knife and leaving a small scratch in the rotting flesh of undead.  Digger jumps forward and clocks the beast right in the face!  Kyra's eldritch blast is a little off and Morek calls down a pillar of flame which burns some of the bedding as well as the ghast.

The snarling undead swipes at Digger and misses, and then jumps onto the bed!

Digger, Morek and Sarelor all inhale a breath of a horrid stench of death and decay coming from the ghast.

Morek did his best to fight off the stank, and to burn away the source with righteous fire.

Kyra, still in the doorway, held the orb as her eyes again turned black as night as energy collected from her body to the sphere, glowing a purple/pink, as the bolt shot out and hit the corpse.

Sarelor drew the long sword he'd been carrying and continued to attempt to evade the hideous creature, bemoaning "that thing nearly killed me."

Sarelor draws his longsword and prepares to defend!  Digger is overcome by the vile stench, but is still able to hit the ghast solidly.  Kyra's blast leaves a smoking hole in the undead flesh and Morek's fire is mostly avoided, but still looks like it bothers the creature.

It howls in pain from the eldritch blast, and then jumps off the bed between Digger and Morek to attack the source (incurring an attack of opportunity from Sarelor)!  Sharp claws rake down Kyra's arm.

Kyra winces as the claws rake her skin, the pain evident on her face, but with the pain comes a steely determination in her eyes as she places her hand on the torso of the undead thing. "Dodge this." her eyes go black as the energy builds and blasts the undead full in the chest with eldrich energy

Sarelor takes a swing at the creature as it moves by, but misses. Not pleased with this, his second, more determined, attack fares better as the next slash strikes home.

The group closes in on the ghast, Sarelor cutting it deep with his blade and Digger delivering a final blow by crushing the back of her head with a hammer-fist.  The body lies still, and the sounds of the crying baby persist.

The hanging body and room contents persist.

Digger goes back to watching for some things that don't realize they should have stopped moving long since, and let's the others go back to ransacking the room for goodies.

Morek returns to checking the wardrobe.

Kyra, sighing, watched as the others searched the room, the woman cautious for any movement

Sarelor rubs at his chest, where the creature raked its claws, and grumbles as he investigates the alcove the thing came from. "Makes you wonder if that thing kept its 'treasures' in its little closet."
