OOC Thread

Hi all - we have our set of players to get cracking with!

Assuming everyone is happy with the proposed 'start as amnesiacs' module then there isn't a huge amount of character generation to do (not that there is a huge amount to do anyway in Cthulhu Dark). Feel free to choose a name (the characters will have wallets, purses etc. on them when they wake up so will be able to ascertain who they are pretty quickly), basic description and a 'hobby' to get a bonus die from.

Also if you aren't familiar with the rules please give the rules thread a skim and let me know if there's anything which doesn't make sense or any questions. No need to commit it to heart or anything as it will come together as we play.

Hobby: Parkour

Description: Mike looks to be in his mid-thirties, average height and slim build.  His black hair offsets his  blue eyes and pale skin.  He seems to have a love for pockets; his cargo pants have plenty of pockets, and his denim jacket is also liberally supplied with pockets.  He seems to be in good physical shape.

Appearance: Alison is five feet six inches tall, slim, with blue eyes and long dark hair. Her hair style very much depends on her mood and the circumstances - sometimes it will be piled up on top of her head, held in place with clasps and grips, other times it will be pulled back into a pony tail or simply fall loose about her shoulders. She looks reasonably fit, although not in a musclebound sort of way.

Appearance: In his late twenties, Kyle looks younger than that. His shaved face sometimes gets cashiers to ask for ID when he buys alcohol in a store. He does some exercise, that shows, but he is no body builder. He's dressed in fashionable and comfortable clothes that look formal, but actually just elegantly casual.

Appearance: Thomas is in his early thirties.  He is clean shaven with a buzz cut hair style.  He is dressed in button down shirt and suit.  He seems to be some sort of businessman.  He clearly works out but it is more to stay in shape than show me muscles.

I had some really bad weeks and I must admit I've completely forgotten I applied to a game at this site.

Absolutely, it’s still early days. We can assume you just followed the others if that works for you?

Ok, I'll read on things that happened so far.

Things seem to have stalled after my last post; did I leave it a bit too open or vague?

I was trying to not be the person who always posts first and sets the direction, so was waiting for someone else to post how they reacted.

Mike; if you want to make a roll you can see if you can dredge something up from the depths of your shattered memory. It would just be the Insight die, however, so it's a risk :)

Otherwise is everyone else happy to progress things in to town (subject to the outcome of Mike's roll if he makes it) or are there any other questions for the good folk who's movie night you've interrupted?

Trying to remember seems like a good reason for a bit of insanity.  I added that roll to the thread.

Can I just take a roll call of who is still about as it's gone a bit quiet? Apologies if this is down to my last post not giving any obvious ways to proceed - I can move things along a different way if that assists?

Sorry, it probably wasn't clear from my post. The doctor is with Jason and asking what is up with him - I left it a bit open as what you share might have repercussions now or later...
