A Trap Sprung... sort of.
It takes a few days for their trap to get a nibble. After all, thieves don't hit every day, and though they plant a rumor of valuable goods being in the Glover's shop it takes some time for word of this to filter back to the streets of Old Town.
But filter it does. At its own pace.
Thieves can be enormously paranoid. Or maybe, the enormously paranoid can be thieves. Either way, the career track is one that tends to weed out the non paranoid quite quickly.
So it doesn't go unnoticed by the Harbor Market Thieves, that THEY haven't gone unnoticed. Their rope around the chimney on the the produce shop certainly didn't untie itself.
Highly experienced professional thieves regard things like this, where conditions aren't exactly what they are supposed to be, as reasons to call off a plan. Good chance they've been "made", so retreat, regroup, and revise.
But... most thieves aren't that type.
However, the fuss on the roof gets attention.
Andrea, who is the best in the group at disguising herself and blending in, has her attention drawn to where Khas said he found the rope, and she sees the hunched, cloaked figure pressed down on the roof, trying to fasten a new rope while being as inconspicuous as possible.
