About the Game and Joining Information

General Campaign Idea: Your character was born and raised in Brookhaven, a small and mostly unremarkable human village. You've been friends with the other PCs partially out of necessity since you're all roughly the same age (18-21ish), and things are about to get interesting. Your characters just don't know it yet.

When the game begins, your characters are not big heroes. They will be eventually if you want them to be, but they are starting off as level 1 characters that only recently became adults. All backgrounds are available, but keep that scope in mind. Someone may have been a soldier and even fought in a battle, but they weren't a guard captain with 20 years of experience under their belt. They don't own property (yet) and are known within the village, but not necessarily for things they want to be remembered for. Childhood was only a few years ago and adults have long memories.

The actual village composition depends on the specific characters that get accepted. If there's a noble PC then there is probably some sort of nobility running it instead of a major or council, if there's an acolyte then there is probably some kind of religious order (at least a monk or priest for that religion.

What I Need For You To Join

I'm looking for four to six players to join in. Basically here is what I need to consider you:

  • Character name, race (human), class, background and alignment
  • Physical description
  • Their family situation (lots of brothers and sisters? How do they get along with their parents?) and general backstory
  • Their living situation (their starting lifestyle,
  • Two true rumors and one false rumor about them (let me know which is which, but I'll add them to a central thread without that for other players to read)
  • What they add to the village and what you need for the character to feel real. An acolyte needs some kind of shrine or temple, a guild artisan needs a guild liaison and/or mentor, etc.

Character Creation

I already went over a little bit of this above, but basically these are the character creation rules once you've been added:

  • Level 1
  • Human only (variant human allowed)
  • All books allowed but if it's not in the Player's Handbook or SRD let me know beforehand so I can look at it
  • Standard point buy for ability scores
  • Standard starting wealth
