Setting

The Cinder Coast is the most South-Western region of Creation. It extends on 5600 kilometres from the Glimmering Forest to the Eiran Peninsula. It is a region of lush jungle separated by savanna, but the deeper Southward someone go, the more desertic the land become. This desert is known as the Rainbow Desert due to its multicolour sand, who become more and more abundant when approaching the edge of Creation. The Coast is a jagged mess of bays and peninsulas with numerous volcanic archipelagos, know as the Cinder Isles.

The Coast is mostly known for is exotic food and animals and the Isles are riches in precious stones and metal, notably Jade. People sometime brave the Rainbow Desert to find Wyld shaped wonder or even trade them with the Fair Folk.

During the Great Contagion and the following invasion, the habitants of the land who would become the Rainbow Desert fled toward the Coast were the habitants hide behind wall of the coastal cities. Several of them were destroyed before the intervention of the future Empress.
After the destruction of the Fair Folk, the surviving cities began to rebuild the land. After two centuries several of them formed a trading alliance know as the Vermillion League. But when the Realm extend its influence on the region, the Empress and her legions conquered its richest cities and broke the alliance.

The Cinder Coast is divided in several regions:

-The Sunset Coast: The most Western part, this region faces the West and go from edge of the world to the Sunset Peninsula and the coast is covered by a lush jungle known as the Glimmering Forest for is bioluminescent fauna and flora. The forest is home to Dragon-King colonies and the coast to human fisherman. Fair Folks are a common sight, from the sirens of the ocean to the predator of the jungle.

-The Bays of Fire and Stars: Eastward of the Sunset Peninsula are the twin bays of Fire and Stars. The two are divided by the Myr Peninsula, where lie the cities of Capstone and Darkheart. The volcanic isles off the coast are a treasure of Jade and precious gems but the Realm is challenged by the Three Devil Prince, a trio of Lunar hiding in the jungles of the Coast, and several hideouts of Lintha pirates.

-The Bays of Kings: Between the Itos Peninsula to the West and the Chones Peninsula to the East, the Bay of Kings was home the Vermillion Kingdom, the founder of the League and was one of the first to fall to the Realm. Since then, the cities of the Bay are Satrapies forced to give the riches of their land and mines to the Scarlet Dynasty. The Bay is also the access toward the prosperous mines of Prismatic Mountains, by way of the Prism Road and its bandits and the gateway toward Lathe and after that the Realm.

-The Daggers Coast:  Eastward of the Chones is the Dagger Coast a jagged seashore of cliffs with fishing town build inside them. The region is poor and sparsely populated after a cataclysm during the surpation leaving many shadowlands here.

Setting

The Bay of Fire
West Coast
The less populated region of the bay, the West Coast is made of abrupt cliffs towering above the water. The inhabitants live in villages either build in the rock of the cliff or made of wood and held afloat. They mainly survive from fishing and the strange crystals found in the numerous caves in the cliffs. These crystals are solid to immaterial spirits.
The Realm held no more influence in the region and his ships rarely venture here today due to the raid from the Three Devil Princes.
Hoaru: The largest island of the West Coast, Hoaru is the most populous spot in the area. The city of Tanaka lies here and is the economic centre of the region.

South Coast
The South Coast is mainly claimed by the Omuyira, a vast rainforest going from the coast to the Rainbow Desert. The edge of the forest near the coast is claimed by tribute of beastmen in the service of the Three Devil Princes.
Aztalan: A First Age city in the heart of the Omuyira, Aztalan was ruined by the Usurpation. Not only several Shadowlands exist in the city, but the area is saturated by sorcerous energy who mute fauna and flora alike in deadly monster.
The Sand Road: In the Est of the coast the Omuyira leave place to a savanna crossed by the Sand Road, a commercial road going from the port town of Ao to the city of Jalis at the edge of the Desert. This road exists mainly due to the strange riche that can come from the strange sand of the Rainbow Desert. With the proximity of the stronghold of the Princes, the Realm presence here was heavily harassed and has vanished completely recently.

Est Coast
To the Est of the bay is the Myr Peninsula, mainly covered by fertile plains. In the South, the peninsula is crossed by the Myr Strait who link the Bay of Fire to the Bay of Stars. In the North lie the city of Capstone, build on Mount Nahara, one of the largest population centres of the Cinder Coast.
Saphir:  Saphir is a city build on hundreds of small islands at the mouth of the Myr Strait. It’s a Satrapy managed by House Cynis and the linchpin of the Realm presence in the Bay.
Tur: A coastal city in the North of the peninsula, Tur is basically the port of Capstone. The Guild operate from here.

Whaea Archipelago
Extending from the centre of the Bay the North and the open ocean, the Whaea Archileago is mainly made of volcanic island rich in Red Jade. Not central authority exists in the region and each village and towns govern itself and has is own deal with its neighbours.
While never a satrapy, the archipelago was under the influence of the Realm who aggressively enforced the price of the Red Jade they brought. With the dwelling strength of the Realm in the Bay, the inhabitants began to increase the price.
Recently a Lintha family arrived in the archipelago and began to raid ships and villages alike.
Ahulu: The city of Ahulu on the island of the same name is the most populous of the region. A long time ago, it was the capital of a kingdom who ruled over the entire archipelago, but these are over.

Kawaha
Kawaha is a large island in the South-West of the Bay. It is dominated by Mount Kao, a large and active volcano. Numerous plantations of exotic fruits exist across the island and complement with the trade of Red Jade coming from the volcano.
The island is satrapy of the Realm but the last years were not kind. The proximity of Kawaha with the South coast made it a perfect target for the rising Devil Princes and two years ago, the volcano erupted, disrupting the mining of the Red Jade. To meet the tribute the rulers of Kawaha sent more people to the now dangerous mines which ended provoking a revolt who turned in a full blow civil war when local nobles took side.
Kao-Ur: The capital of Kawaha, and bastion of the loyalists and the force of Realm.
Nalahu: The second most important city of the island, Nalahu sided with the rebel and serve as their primary HQ.

Lawai
Lawai is situated in the South of the Bay. Known as the Island of the Golden Mists due to the golden brume who spread across it at sunset, its main resources are the large plantations of exotic fruits and spices and the Oa trees, whom wood made for incredibly strong hull for ships.
Lawai is a satrapy and with Saphir, the most stable region of the Bay but strange decease as begun to spread to the Oa trees and menace the production of wood and with that the tribute.

Setting

Kawaha
The island of Kawaha is one of the largest of the Bay of Fire and dominated by Mount Kao, a large and active volcano. The two main export produces from Kawaha are the Red Jade mined from Mont Kao and the spice Saris, a medical spice derived from the pistil of the flowers of the Irae tree. The other economic activity is fishing and plantation of fruits.

Kawaha is controlled by three city, Kao-Ur, Nalahu and Karag, each governed by a Triach. The Triach are elected by an assembly constituted of the richest merchants of the city. To have a seat at the assembly of a city require a large fee each year. The island is a Satrapy of House Peleps since the Realm coming in the region four centuries ago.

Recently the temple of Suri, the god of Mount Kao, was pillaged by a group of audacious pirates and the Hearth of Fire, the most valued possession of the god was taken. The rage of Suri shook the whole island and Mount Kao erupted. Since that day Suri switch between murderous rage and profound depression and refused to see anyone. As result, Mount Kao and its mines became deadly.

The Satrap at the time wanted to keep the flow of Red Jade and began to use slaves in the mine. But casualty began to pile up and raid by the Three Princes made it nearly impossible to replace them with slaves from outside the island. He then decided to draft natives against their will. Some merchant tried to protest but they were silenced by threat, blackmail, or outright executions.

He didn’t take long before resistance began to form and rapidly grow. At first it was mostly a guerrilla war but 6 months ago, the populace of Nalahu rose up and cast down the Triach and most of the Assembly. The Satrap tried to retake the city, but he was assassinated before he even rises an army.

Now a new Satrap as arrived to quell the rebellion and the civil war as taken away the focus from the mines of Mount Kao.

Kao-Ur
The biggest and richest city of Kawaha, Kao-Ur is near Mount Kao and has near monopoly on its mines. Part of the city was destroyed when Suri made the volcano explode after the thief of his relic and the countryside is often devasted by the volcano activity. Between the destruction of plantations and the drafting of people, famine is not far.

Nalahu
Nalahu is the first producer of Saris and enjoyed a flow of riches. 6 months ago, an uprising toppled the Triarch and his supporters, making the city the bastion of the rebellion. Nalahu is now governed by a council of local figures: priests, minor merchants, and rebel’s leaders.

Karag
While Karag is the less rich of the three cities, its population is just behind Kao-Ur. The Triach of Karag was reluctant to follow the lead of the previous Satrap, nut complied in face of the threats made toward his family. Now he continues to support the Realm in fear of the rebellion, having heard what happened to the governing class of Nalahu.
