I got to be honest with you-- from my very first post here, instead of "yes and..." me, you deliberately pushed back. What should have been a very easy scene was transformed into making my character one that had somehow dropped in from an alternate reality and hadn't realized he shifted dimension.

I cannot say I have been invested in this since then.

That was the former GM if thats who youre referring to. He passed it on to me & i wish i knew japanese culture & history to continue it in that form but i dont so when he passed it over to me, i decided to do a freeform game in a fantasy Asian setting that borrows alot from many eastern cultures (japanese, chinese, korean, indian, etc.)

If you'd like to continue with that in mind, i promise i wont ignore or alienate your character but if its not your cup of tea i understand if you wish to be removed from the game.

Please everyone let me know here or in a PM that you want to go forward with the new format or not.

Ok, ive shed the trappings of Player & donned the Mantle of GM now.

Seeing as i only have 2 players - the former GM NPCd the other 3 minus Asa - i ask you guys are you familiar with the Avatar series and have you guys decided on which timeline to do from the ones i suggested?

Once decided, i can set up threads & look for more players.

I'm more familiar with Last Airbender since I actually watched it, but what I don't know, I can look up.

Ok, that helps - it will determine how i proceed.

Been a lil quiet because im doing research on the new setting & determining the timeline - one player is familiar with Last Airbender while the other knows both the above & the Korra series so its a toss up between doing this during or after the 100 year war.

Still reading up on a few things...

Updated Game info!

Quick description: The game will take place far away from Republic City. Avatar Aang has just passed away & Korra has yet to be born. The village is a blending of Earth Kingdom & a small Fire nation influence after the war when new settlers arrived over the decades.

Jianzhen is still alive and village elder & leader but he has seen 70 winters - but the people follow and trust the old monk's leadership and sage advice. The village has grown a bit with new settlers decades ago and its small farms, its fishing boats still support its inhabitants but there is also now a shrine to honor the Spirits and the villager's ancestors, an inn for travelers to stay, a small marketplace for passing merchants as well as a general store, tavern and a blacksmith shop & stable.

So the setting is still kinda what the previous game was but the flavor & world has changed.

Would I be able to edit my character to be a bender, by any chance?

Yes, you can - i even edited the character sheet & added bending style (if any)

Ok, im going to do some threads that pertain to important landmarks in the village (inn, shrine, etc.). Im debating on creating NPCs but not sure if want to do that or just GM them without creating names & descriptions for them.

Will be putting these threads up soon.

Ok, i have added threads for local places within the village - pretty bare bones but its a start.

Next step will be updating your characters for this new setting & ill get the ball rolling on the starting adventure for you guys - you can choose to be a local or visitor to Jianzhen.

I changed Himawari from a geisha-in-trainer to a Kyoshi warrior if that's okay.

Ok, i think im ready to open this game to two or three more players.

The player of Himawari Yamanoyuki has changed her character to match the style of what the new game will be but im still waiting on the player of Naoji if they will be making changes or keep the character as is (ill need more info on Naoji if thats the case - just PM me).

RL has delayed my starting up the game - i will be starting up soon just got a lil delayed, thats all...Stay tuned!

Ok - Dropped the player of Naoji since he hasnt bothered to respond to me in OOC or otherwise since April 18th...The game is now open to players - so now we play the waiting game...
