In this context, it is "[...] having too great a population to have suitable agricultural resources for export. "

Re: organising the hierarchy

That's a... very convoluted way of saying "we don't export food". Without going into why having a population in the hundreds of millions prevents food exports, but whatever. Thanks!

You talked with Guiseppe Balducci, the local world-administrator of the Florian League for Nora'a. He told you : "We are not having diplomatic relations (with the Aslan) right now. They are still angry that Nora'a used to be theirs and they want it back."
You suggested someone of high rank within Imperial aristocracy [I think you meant : yourself] helped re-establish unofficial, but effective, backchannels into the Aslan Hierate, preserving galactic peace and smooth trade between empires, yada yada.

All that in exchange for Balducci to remember he owes us a similar favor.

Your mission, Jim : rescue slaves

Well tried, Yuri, to kick the ball forward :) But is the time right to launch ourselves in a big adventure, at the beginning of August? Shouldn't we wait until September?

Doesn't have to be a BIG adventure.

But, why wait until September?

Re: organising the hierarchy

In reply to Nerull (msg # 290):

Hey, 4 people who connected recently (Carmichael, Nicodemus, Yri & myself), that's not a bad team!
I suggest someone picks up the game and becomes GM, as for the "Naval Adventure 1 : Shakedown Cruise" campaign, and so the game continues :)

It can't be me because :
- English is not my mother language, so there'd be a lot of exchanges along the lines "I don't understand what you mean" ;)
- biggest obstacle, I never mastered Traveller and did only glance at the rulebook. :(

Anyone else?

I am notoriously unfamiliar with the system, and somewhat bogged down by other games, so it would be best if it were someone else.

Re: organising the hierarchy

Yuri, Nicodemus, Khor'ruhn and Beto (via drone) are the 'negotiators' at the meeting.

Bannacor is with the 'liberators' at the ship: Carmichael, Oscar, and Anzha.

Beto is at the ship operating the drone, and Baris and Daphne are also on the ship.
