And so the two of you set out after the group of slavers. The village people were able to point you in the right direction and given some basic supplies.

You found a large trail with many footprints and several vehicle tracks. This must be the proper trail.

"All right, this isn't hard, at least," said Hannah.  She followed the tracks.

After about an hour or so of walking, the two of you crest a large sand dune and below you can see the slaver caravan parked there. You can hear shouting coming from the camp.

That was good-- she had an opening now.

"Okay, Fred," she said.  "Let's go."

She moved in, hoping to hear more before she struck.

"The pale girl has been nothing but trouble! We should kill her now!" one of them said.

"I am the leader here and I say the price we'll get is worth the trouble!" a very large man shouted back.

Good enough for her.  Hannah charged.  Hopefully, a rapid attack--

--she didn't notice the armor forming around her, or really thing about the weapon appearing in her hand--

--would drive them off.  But if she had to hurt some, well, they deserved it.

The slavers were clearly taken by surprise, rushing to get weapons as you charged in.

Hannah didn't stop to think-- she fell upon all of them, swinging weapons that appeared and changed as she fought, not letting her think about what was actually happening as she attacked.

21 Attack, Damage 7, but Takedown 2 so a bunch of thugs can fall.

You managed to cut down three guards, with several others dropping their weapons and fleeing.

"Get back here, you fools!" the captain bellowed as he swung at you.

The captain's scimitar bounced off armor that seemed to form in reaction to his attack; Hannah reacted automatically, raining a series of blows at the captain with a pair of metal clubs that appeared in her hands!

That was a 27, which is a Crit.  With Multiattack.  So base damage 12 and probably more like 14 or 17...

You sliced into the man, putting him down quickly.

Hannah looked to see what opposition was left.  And how Fred was doing.

Fred arrived, brandishing his club about, screaming wildly...but it appeared no one was left to fight. The other guards having fled.

Hannah's clothes reverted to something less... armored.

"All right," said Hannah.  "Let's get everyone out of here."

She began to do what she could to free the slaves.  In the course of this, she began to realize what was happening when she needed a knife or a hammer... how was that happening?  It didn't make sense.

"Hey! Hey! Whoever you are! Over here!" a voice you recognized as Raven shouted.

"It's me!  Hannah!" said Hannah, running over to her.

"Oh, thank god," Raven said. "These slavers kidnaped me, and I have these weird powers and then they killed Fred!"

"...I have weird powers, too," said Hannah.  "Useful ones.  And Fred's not dead-- he heals himself now.  Let's get everyone out of here, and then we can talk about weird powers."

Soon enough, everyone was freed and heading back to the small town your were in before.
