"I'm doing my best," Raven said as a light breeze started.

"I'll help," said Hannah.  She took a moment to make sure Raven was bundled up, and smear her with salve where necessary.

"Let's go while we can.  We'll rest when the day gets too hot."

After about an hour and a half, maybe two hours it was certainly way too hot to continue. Fred started putting up a tent.

"Yes, it's time," said Hannah.  She went to help.

Soon enough a shelter was set up and Raven was passing out some pre-prepared tea.

"Thanks," said Hannah.  "How are you holding up, Raven?  I know Fred's fine..."

"Mostly okay, being out of the sun is much better," Raven said.

"Well, be careful," said Hannah.  "We need to be healthy, and sunstroke would be bad."

"I know," Raven said. "Doing my best."

"Sure, but be sure to let me know if you need help," said Hannah.  "This isn't a race."

"I know," Raven said. "I'll let you know when I can't keep going."

"Good," said Hannah.  She rested for a while, and then they continued on their journey.

As you pack up, clouds began to roll in and you were packed up and began to move.

"...clouds are good," said Hannah.  "But let's stay out of low areas.  For all we know, this place could flood."

A slight drizzle of rain started.

That wasn't bad at all.  Hannah made some containers to gather water in; extra water rations would surely be useful.

The rain began to pick up, with the containers filling rapidly.

Good... but Hannah looked to see if they were in any danger of being hit with a flash flood.  This was the sort of place where that was a very real risk.

Your rest spot is on a small hill and seems to be in a perfectly safe area in case of a flash flood.

"Let's wait up here," said Hannah.  "We don't want to get flooded out."

"That's a lot of rain for a desert," Fred said.

"I suppose it has to happen sometimes," said Hannah, making a waterproof shelter for all of them.

"Must be a long way from Kansas," Fred said.
