Introduction and RTJ

A freezing wind blows across the snow-covered field. Blood stains the snow a bright crimson in patches around the bodies of several dead humans. A wounded young man, dressed in fine clothing and furs, struggles forward upon his hands and knees. His bloody hand reaches out desperately for the hilt of a broken sword. With vision narrowed from blood loss and cold he blinks in pain and despair as a boot kicks the hilt further away from his grasping hand. Rough laughter assaults his ears. With effort he manages to spit defiantly towards his attackers. Then the boot rushes towards his face, and he slips into blackness.

House Rules

1, Please post at least once every other day. If you cannot manage to post within that time it is okay. Just let me know either in the OOC thread or a PM.
2, Please do not try to decide the actions or reactions of characters other than your own.
3, Please be respectful of each other in the OOC thread and PMs. Inter-character conflict is cool as long as both players have agreed to play it out.
4, Please select a color for your character's spoken words. Try to not select the same color as another character.
5, Please include all rule information and die rolls at the bottom of your posts. It should all be Orange in color, bracketed and marked OOC.

Introduction and RTJ

Game Rating
While the title of the game does mention blood and death, the content of this game is designed to be pretty 'g' rated. The focus of the game is on exploration, adventure, and possibly fostering personal relationships with the community and larger world. This means business arrangements, establishing your own farm, earning enough money through adventuring to allow your parents to retire, or leaving home to work for the Baron and getting involved in the larger problems of the region. Eventually the party could even get involved in politics and earn their own lands or titles should that be desired.

Please, no gratuitus swearing. The occasional 'damn' and such is okay, but geverally language should be kept pretty G or PG.

Romance as a plot point is allowed. When between two PCs both parties must agree to it ahead of time and respect each other's boundaries. Anything beyond a single passionate 'Disney Movie style' kiss will fade to black. If anyone wants to have their character become involved with one of the NPCs please PM me and let me know. We'll work out any needed details and boundaries.

Combat vs Role Play
Equal weight will be put on social interactions and fighting. Each battle, either with weapons in an abandoned cave, or with words upon the dance floor, will carry weight and meaning for your characters and those who love them.

Leveling Up
We'll use Milestone Leveling for this game. When you have achieved something important for your character's goals or the overall plot of the game you'll gain a level. To support this, please give me a Short Term Goal for your character as well as a Long Term Goal. These have to be something specific. "Discover to truth of Blackrock Isle," would be a great Long Term goal while, "Visit the Castle for the first time," is a good Short Term goal.
