Yeah, there, that helps, thanks.

START OF ROUND ONE:

"Ah, yes, I remember that one..." said Django, once the rest of the tavern had quieted down. "...I suppose you could say-- from one perspective, at least... that it started when Jiri and I had almost concluded conducting the negotiations between the various werenations... the werewolves, the weretigers, the werebears, the wereboars, the wererats... it wasn't going as well as I had hoped... the wererats wanted power relative to population size-- and of course they would, since there are so many more of them than the other weres-- and they wanted a census, and so on... and then something happened that would have made things worse if not for Jiri and myself..."

Experiment 2: 34 moves, 8/5

10:32, Today: phantom rolled 3 using 1d34 ((3)). - A Magic Spell
10:33, Today: phantom rolled 9 using 2d6+2 ((1,6)).

"Indeed, tempers were starting to flare.  And I got a strange sensation as if something was pricking at senses.  So I closed my eyes and concentrated and realized someone was casting a spell!  So I cast one of my own to counter it.  I felt the spell break like a bubble popping.  Once the spells was broken, everyone look around and calmed down, mostly.  Unfortunately the second part of my spell did not go a well and instead of just the caster being outlined, those around them were as well.  But it did prove that the Wererats were trying to influence the meeting.  And while they have numbers, the other Were united against them would have been too much.  So we were able to continue the negotiations.

"Then, a wereboar entered the tent we were all in. 'Something... horrible approaching from the east!' We all rushed outside to see... It was a sort of flesh necromata, created by sewing body parts together and animating them with necromancy... But while those usually go for two arms, two legs, and a head, this one had too many of everything-- a dozen of each category. When it spoke, it used every mouth. 'The Mage Ebez decries this gathering!' it howled. 'You have five minutes to disperse-- then this section of plain and everyone remaining on it shall be destroyed!'"

"'Some mages hate werefolk because we are naturally resistant to their craft,' a weretiger said softly within my hearing."

"'I think there's aspect to this threat that are subtle,' I said. 'A thing such as this must be controlled, and the range is not usually far. Since there's no other hiding place in range, I propose that the mage Ebez must be hiding in those hills to the east. But first...' I stepped forward and read from a small scroll I had, the Script of Unmaking. The horrible necromata fell apart into its many composite parts."

"Privately, I wondered if this Ebez had given help to the wererats to try to disrupt the negotiations, but I did not voice this suspicion-- yet."

Experiment 2: 34 moves, 8/5

14:19, Today: phantom rolled 30 using 1d34 ((30)). - Defending
14:20, Today: phantom rolled 7 using 2d6 ((2,5)).

As Django finished his spell, a contingent of Wererats attacked. Their eyes glowing eriely green, and they didn't look good.  Caught off guard, they were able to stab the leader of the Werebears, but while I was too slow to stop the attack, I did deflect it so that it was not fatal.  Using my skills, I continued to defend the injured leader.  We were able to dispatch the wererats, which turned out to be dead before their attack.  We rounded up all of the remaining wererats and placed them under guard.

I looked to Django and the others "We must hurry"

An antagonist.
13:58, Today: The GM rolled 4 using 2d6 with rolls of 3,1.

"Women and children and wounded weres retreated to the nearest non-hills direction, to the south. Everyone else (well, not the wererats-- they were forced south with the other evacuees) came with Jiri and I to the east.

Sure enough, we found, there, a hooded figure. He spoke words that cracked like thunder... and everyone except for Jiri and myself stood still, eyes closed.

'The Dream Curse,' said the man who was surely the mage Ebez. 'Not one of my own spells. Two hundred years, I searched for the secret of the Dream Curse, and I've waited four hundred to use it. A pity that I must do so now to pacify such a menagerie of beasts...' He waved his arm. Skeletal arms and hands burst from the ground and grabbed the legs of Jiri and myself. 'Now that, that's one of mine...'"

15:21, Today: phantom rolled 20 using 1d34 ((20)). - Tricking someone
15:22, Today: phantom rolled 4 using 2d6 ((2,2)).

As mages' skeletal arms gripped us, I came up with a brilliant idea.
"Master!" I called out.  It is I your wererat servant in disguise.  Please let me go Master so that I might take my place by your side as we eliminate our foes!"
But alas, my action was not up to snuff.  The Mad Wizard laughed at me. "The wererats were foolish, selfish creatures.  They were my tools, not my servants.  But you did amuse me.  Perhaps you two will be the last.  And he gave us an evil smile.

(START OF ROUND FOUR (OF FIVE):

15:57, Today: The GM rolled 6 using 1d34 with rolls of 6.
--A powerful ritual (fortunately, the fact that it's one of your disadvantages doesn't matter, because it's my turn)
15:58, Today: The GM rolled 10 using 2d6 with rolls of 5,5.  A powerful ritual. )

"Such banter gave me the time I needed," Django told the tavern audience. "I didn't have time to undo the Dream Curse, but I did have time to reverse the necromancy that kept us bound to where we stood... A little graveyard dust from one of the many pouches at my belt, and a tiny mirror, and some words that were already old when the Tower of Rhastani was still being constructed... and the skeletal arms and hands that gripped Jiri and myself retreated back into the ground... and then burst forth and grabbed the mage Ebez, pulling him to his knees..."

20:31, Today: phantom rolled 10 using 1d34 ((10)). - An old book/scroll/map or some other potentially useful thing
20:35, Today: phantom rolled 12 using 2d6 ((6,6)).

Once Django freed us, I wasted no time and leaped at the Mad Mage.  I knocked him to the ground and he dropped this old book. I thought it might be a spellbookd, so I grabed it and through to Django. Who was able to tell that it was a ritual book and a very powerful one at that.  I told Django to seal it quick!  Django, did so and immediately the Mad Wizard started to shriek, but I could tell his magic was diminished.  But he wasn't beaten yet!

(START OF FINAL ROUND
14:08, Today: The GM rolled 26 using 1d34 with rolls of 26.
A tempting temptation.
14:09, Today: The GM rolled 5 using 2d6 with rolls of 1,4.)

"I realized that this was Ebez' spellbook, the repository of all his magic... and I was sorely tempted. So much knowledge! So many secrets! I felt the urge to open it immediately and look inside, just a little...

Listeners, I am ashamed to say that I was unable to resist. I opened the book and looked at a random page...

Dark magics washed over me... I felt that I understood the secrets of life and death like few others in the history of the world, and beyond history... All sorts of arcane powers I'd hardly dreamt of were mine to command, easily..."

(Welp, time for you to wrap it up. Whatever happens, you must end the story with both Jiri and Django alive in the future and able to tell this story to a rapt audience of listeners in a tavern...

Basically a result of 10 or higher is a happy ending, a 7-9 is bittersweet (like how we cured Stella the wolf but got no treasure in the last one), and a 6 or lower is tragic (maybe Django lost an arm? Or an eye? Both eyes? or is just terribly scarred? Maybe none of the poor weredudes were ever freed from the Dream Curse? More than one of the above? Something else? Maybe none of that, but the book is out there somewhere still, causing trouble? Or...???)

15:46, Today: phantom rolled 11 using 1d34 ((11)). - An antagonist
15:47, Today: phantom rolled 5 using 2d6 ((1,4)).

Just as I am about to pounce and finish the Mad Mage Ebez once and for all, I hear Django scream in pain and pleasure.  I turn and bound to Django, partially transforming as I go so that I can get there fast.  In awe of the magic being unleashed, I stood frozen.  That moment I saw Django transforming before my eyes.  I reacted and with my left hand, transformed into a claw, I slashed the book.  The pages torn and the force knocked the book from Django's hands and exploded.  It sent me hurdling away.  I lost consciousness for a moment.  When I can to, Ebez was gone.  His spellbook destroyed. Most of the were-leaders came out of the Dream Curse, but we did lose a few. I lost my hand, even my regenerative abilities can't regrow it.  But Django, he was forever transformed caught between life and death!  Jiri pulls back Django's hood and shows off his face:

And somewhere out there the Mad Wizard Ebez plots his revenge!
