You can assume Klinka managed to catch up with the rest of the group just as they reached the Altmarket - Fyodor needed the extra time to finish his beers!

I'll give Pieter and Magnus a little more time to post before moving on. I know it can be a busy time of year for everyone.

I know Pieter's player has been very busy in real life recently but I'm worried about Magnus who I haven't heard from for a while. I fear we might have lost our second wizard. :-(

Okay, so planning ahead.

The Ashes of Middenheim adventure proper begins when you deliver the holy icon to the temple of Sigmar. You'll still have some free time but it will keep you busy for a while at least. It will however be mostly Middenheim based.

If you want to play working for the Mayers as more of a long term thing that's perfectly fine and I can just have your first 'real' job take place in a few days. On the other hand if you want to take the time to look at other options he can give you a few days to think about it.

What are you guys leaning towards?

I'd be ok with a job first and make a little gold.

Happy to work for them, as long as sidequests won't interfere with the main campaign (by sending us all the way to Kislev for example).

Fyodor - it does sound like we will only make a little gold too!

I'm happy to work for the Mayer's too.  It will be good for Lukas to get used to the city, build up some contacts and also have some funds behind him with the essentials of board taken care of.

The way I'm looking at it is that working for the Mayers - or Brokk Ranulfsson or the Ranaldites - provides you guys some security for getting by in Middenheim along with a source of side quests and some long term character possibilities.

The main campaign itself - at least in Ashes - is mostly written as independents solving a mystery though there are opportunities for you to interact with potential patrons. You might also get a little gold as an immediate reward for returning the icon so there is that.

Working for the Mayers - or, ahem, infiltrating them - whilst we play out the main thread seems an interesting route. Happy if you want to fade most of into the background and concentrate on the main plot and interesting bits

That's my thoughts too. :-)

Incidentally this is now officially the longest game I've ever run as a GM both in terms of posts and time. I hope you guys are still having fun!

So you won't be needed to guard the warehouse until late evening. Any plans for late afternoon/early evening? Do you want to deliver the icon now or follow up other leads?

I'm inclined to take the icon back before getting hooked in with the Kislevites

(And, agreed, enjoying Pieter and the campaign thus far immensely!)

Klinka is happy to follow the others, depending on what they want to do next.
