Jocelin Herzog:
Game Master:
Technically Channelling and casting a spell cost a half action each so if you want to Channel, cast a spell and move you'll have to use a Fortune Point (see pg. 135 of the rulebook.)</Orange>
Do I need to Channel/Cast in the same round? I was thinking:
Round 1
Half: Move
Half: Channel for spell "A"
Round 2
Half: Cast spell "A"
Half: Move? Channel?
They'd be "right next to each other" in terms of my actions...
While it is ambiguous I think the intention of the rules is it has to be in the same round "if you use Channelling, casting a spell must be your
next action." (My italics)
I'd suggest either spending a Fortune Point (which you recover after a night's sleep remember) to buy an extra half action this round, or forgoing Channelling to move and cast or just moving to a more advantageous position to cast next round.
My advice is to spend the Fortune Point - you succeeded in your Channelling roll anyway so best use it.
