Azora comes to Atlantis

As Azora prepares to leave Dypestehage (I rather arbitrarily decided that Deep Sea Elves use Norwegian.  Add a space before the H if you're using Google translate.)  her father and her aunt both try, once again, to talk her out of her 'great adventure,' but they have no more success than they had the other hundred times.  Her mother, who has herself once responded to the siren call of new horizons, waves them off, double-checks her daughter's equipment, and gives her a hug.  She repeats the instructions to seek out her cousin in Atlantis, and then what to do if she cannot locate him.

Azora swims up out of the depths, following the ground, for hours and hours -- at least 4 stops to rest and another 2 to sleep.  Finally she sees her first Merpeople village!  It seems drab and washed out, until she realizes that she is still using Darkvision and she can switch her eyes to using colored light.  Suddenly the blues and greens are overwhelming, with splashes of other colors that she is not sure she has ever seen before.  She stops and drifts in awe.

When finally Azora recovers from her reverie, she asks a farmer for directions and is pleased that she is headed exactly in the right direction.  He describes it as "about a day's travel," which seems an odd unit to her.  She has heard of the concept of night and day, but she can not internalize it.  After a while, she notices her eyes are getting weaker and weaker, until finally she fears she has gone blind in the color sight and switches back to normal sight.  When the light returns some 9 hours later, she finally gets it -- that was what the shallow dwellers call 'night.'

After another two hours she finally arrives in Atlantis.  The village was astounding, and the city surpasses it as a shark surpasses a clownfish.  It is filled with domes, some holding in air but most open to the sea.  The domes are in layers, as many as a dozen high, anchored with ropes or chains.  The quantity and variety of people is staggering, from merpeople to sea elves to humans.  She even sees a Grindylow, swimming along like it belongs here.
