Re: Out Of Character (OOC)

In reply to Tom Logan E5 (msg # 165):

Ok, fine by me.

Looks like Dumbrovsky and Dick that are moving up the south sap are separated from us. I didn't specify for him to take the backpack radio, so I don't know if they can hear us.

I'll hold onto the radio for the 2nd group.

In reply to Ryan Burris O1 (msg # 167):

"The forward teams make the base of this obstacle and call up the second team. They move up the southern route, through the deep muck and by the time they come up they're head to foot covered in a thin layer of mud."

Dick and Dumbrovski, I think the GM assumed you were called up to the South Breach once we made it up to the North Breach

Re: Out Of Character (OOC)

Yep, I moved you up guys. It would have taken a few more turns otherwise.

Red and White Armbands
As you have probably guessed red and white armbands denote a Polish group that is opposed to the Polish People's Army. Unfortunately, it can mean many things. The Polish Free legions wear them further west. The 10th Dresden Motor Rifles in Krakow wear them. They don't signify what the person believes or does but only who they are opposed to.

Re: Out Of Character (OOC)

Lower Rank PCs.

It's absolutely vital that you guys offer suggestions and otherwise act on your initiative or you'll end up bored. I know there's not a lot of opportunity for it right now but when it arises you guys have to grab it. I'm going to try and make sure there's plenty of opportunity to do so.

Re: Out Of Character (OOC)

Interestingly I've not had one player tell me they're dropping out.

I'm just considering ways to prune nearly all the characters away. This is annoying because with half a dozen players we could do this with a sergeant as the only ranker and I've ended up with a top heavy team regarding rank again. Well, at least it's not all top sergeants and colonels.

Next post Tuesday.

Re: Out Of Character (OOC)

In reply to GM (msg # 173):

A couple AD&D games I run on a different site, I made it clear up front that if folks weren't up for the game, just tell me.  No harm no foul as it would be better for everyone all the way around just to know their responses shouldn't be waited on.  Still had players just stop posting and wouldn't respond to inquiries.  So much easier to run and hide from decisions and interactions in a disconnected, virtual world than it is with people on a face to face social group.

In reply to GM (msg # 171):

Apologies...my sister passed away and I have been dealing with a lot of logistics this week, it's not that I'm not interested. You can remove me or move Dombrovsky to an NPC role for now as you prefer. I don't want to hold anything up.

I did make a post, #29 about using the APC as cover and trying to look for targets with his scoped M-16.  Unless I missed what Stax saw in a post?

Re: Out Of Character (OOC)

SITREP:

The vehicles have been left behind.

All groups have made their way to the innermost part of the North Breach (the blue star).

Logan, O'Leary and Hakala are crawling along the the upper part of the inner rampart behind the earthworks facing out, heading north.

Burris, Cox, Edgars, Zalewski, Dombrovsky, and Stachion are covering them.

If I'm reading this correctly, the scout team is near the upside down E proximal to the upside down M.  While the rest of the group is scattered about the inner rampart proximal to the blue star.  The executions were taking place near the red star.

Is it possible to get a zoomed in map showing current character positioning, maybe by 1st letter of last name since there doesn't appear to be any repeated characters?

Re: Out Of Character (OOC)

Looks like you make separate rolls for multiple rounds instead of the 3-rnd burst mechanic from the TW2K rules. I've edited my post to reflect three separate rolls.

Apologies for breaking cover and firing on these goons if anyone wanted to try a peaceful resolution to this encounter. I definitely think they're Bad Dudestm. It might be easier to grease em in the open than in the tunnels.

Naaah, that is OK, LT. We was going to fire them up anyway. Just hope no one is out on the right flank. We just do not know if these were all of them or not.

It is what it is.
