Hi guys, we're getting there.

Can you please do the following:

Go to "Character Details" in the upper left corner of the screen.

Then go to "Change Biography"

The in the "Biography pt 1" enter your rank and armed service (example: "Corporal, US Army")

The in the "Biography pt 2" enter your unit designation.

If you don't know your unit either have a little look on wikipedia or I can help you choose one.

Please note: if you have chosen to be an E2/OE2 or less you get +5 skill points. You can change your rank now if you wish but if you do so tell me and I'll update your name.

Note that this is a general engagement, peer-to-peer war where almost the entire first generation of soldiers have died off. There has been conscription for two years plus and it is highly likely that the bulk of soldiers regardless how skilled or veteran they are will spend the entire war as E2 PFCs. Nearly everyone you meet will be around that rank.

Officers should be limited to O1 First or Second Lieutenants.

This is fine, but as a courtesy to other players please inform me. I'll never judge anyone for dropping out, I have no idea what's going on in your life and some games are not for everyone. So yeah, if you want to stop playing just send me a PM and i can ease the transition so the other players aren't stuck.

Okay, I now have Jiffy added to the campaign, we can begin!

It's occurred to me that you guys might not understand why I want the ranks I've asked for.

The idea is that this is unlike any war the US has fought since maybe the US Civil War in that it's been an existential threat from the beginning and the attritional nature of the combat has annihilated literal generations of combatants. As such the traditional rank advancement and rank balance that for generations has been an assumption simply does not apply, almost the entire force of the USA and other belligerents is comprised of very low ranks with a small cadre of higher rank survivors that don't feature here.

Now, I am going to need some NCOs and an officer (I don't subscribe to the theory that officers are superfluous, they just have a different job) but a vast array of mid rankers isn't needed. If everyone who signed up plays, and I seriously doubt it, then I'd need one 1st or 2nd Lieutenant, a low Sergeant and two Corporals. Corporals are a thing again as the NCO school disappeared two years ago.

Just waiting to get the last of the players on the list.
