Okay, I think I may have messed up. If you take the races in the book provided, you may select mutations, but the points between beneficial and drawbacks must equal 0. If you build your own and want mutations, you buy the Mutated feature and your balance must equal 1.
So, if you just want a mutated bear with all the bells and whistles, you can, you're total mutations must balance to 0.
Sorry for the confusion. I might change this back to the ruling of the book though as this seems to cause confusion. What do you think?
This was brought up in a RTJ and I thought I might bring it up to the group. I thought it might be balanced to give those that were building their own races, to have a more flexible option to buy mutations, but it seems to be causing some confusion.
Do y'all think it would be better to revert back to beneficial and drawback mutations must balance, or allow you to buy the Mutated ability and get a 1 point benefit?
