I don't think they reduce your body to ash, if anything I do believe warp flames would originate from inside your body and burn outwards stopping once all combustible material in the human body is exhausted. I believe your skeleton, though blackened, would still remain if a bit mutated from said warp flames.

Starting cash is determined by your social rank (career essentially) as standard. By the book. You may 'sell' starting items for their book cost.

Well Cyber Mastiff Handler, which a tech priest can take as a starting career option and I did, gives the Acolyte one "Bloodhound" Cyber-mastiff (see page 73) and a Constructer Interface Augmetic (see page 77). Basically it gives you the starting Cyber Dog and means to control it easier, it's in book of judgement pg 44. Normally the Bloodhound costs 5,000 thrones and is Rare and I already have the Constructer Interface Augmetic as there isn't really a price for it in the book. In the last game the GM said that though I wouldn't start with one when I got the funds I could buy one at a reduced rarity.

The Constructer Interface Augmetic sounds like a specialist MIU and would be the same price. You may certainly buy (or more likely for a tech-priest construct) both that and the mastiff once you have the funds, skills and pull.

Be very careful regarding maintenance and repair costs though. Had a guy in a TT game who was determined to play Sororitas. He changed his mind when he realised that his stipend (giving up eating drinking and sleeping) would buy him a bit less than 2(two) rounds for his bolter a month and that he simply couldn't afford to maintain his PA. You can (presumably) cover the 'skill' portion of maint and repair on a cyber-mastiff but you still need consumables for maint and repair will bankrupt you.

Alternate Rank: Rank 1 or higher (0 xp)
Benefits: Upon taking this career the Acolyte automatically

If you are going Templar Calix part of your initiation is crafting your own Force Sword just like a good Jedi Psyker of the Imperium.  Since it's one of those things you simply 'get' by taking the alternate rank clearly materials are provided and mentors to practically build it for you.  And that makes it a Good Quality weapon meaning it only costs 2,166.6 repeating Thrones to make a common version.  With that in mind a Best Quality Force Sword would run you 21,666.6 Thrones...meaning if you can come up with the difference in extra cool beans materials you might be able to come out with a 'cheaper' in cost Best Quality one :D

In the game I rezed Aoife from she had a Lathe Wrought, Santified force sword...Tanlladwyr, gotta get me a new one.

Obviously if you take an Alt-Rank later in the game that changes your salary class it changes your salary accordingly.  That's pretty obvious.  The question is what if you take one are Rank 1 since it's all base character creation?

Ex...say I'm a Noble and take the Redemptionist Rank 1 alt.  Clerics normally are Ministorum Class that gives them 200 thrones a month.  Redmptionist changes that to Supine Class giving them 70 thrones a month but Noble Wealth says you are a Nobility Class that gets 500 thrones a month.

I'll need to borrow 32 thrones + however much some gc clothes might be. If possible.

The latest change over-rides earlier ones. In your example the character would have a base of Ecclesiarchy, have that changed by Noble, then have it changed again by Redemptionist. He/she would have given up her House stipend in order to show piety.

Power wise, in keeping with the aim of biomancy, I grabbed staunch blood flow and healing. Still subject to some review but will be working to finish up character creation today after my appointment.

So either I can get a lot of Thrones now (Double starting thrones which was 300+5d10 for a cleric and then Confessor was the one I was looking at and they get Shield Robes that are worth 5,000 thrones that could be sold) or a lot more later (multiple monthly payments over time).

So was actually looking at the Constructor Interface and it says, it makes use of a quad-redundant epsilon-cypher voxpulsers to issue quick bursts commands and to receive data. So I am not sure if someone could listen in or control him if they wanted to, save for another mastiff handler or someone that got hold of this very particular tech. It's GM's call as I have never played this kind of thing before.

It is reasonably secure. Certainly any signal may be jammed, and the standard vox-jammer will suffice for that. Actual hacking would require a scrap-code generator or similar.

Yeah we're waiting on Aoife to post since Cedrik is busy with family stuff, not that I expect her to do much mroe than what the rest of us have done...wait for either the guardsmen to snap up their weapons at which point it quickly becomes a run and hide (since you have to have a full auto weapon in DH to do suppressive fire) or Harkonnen browbeats the Atredies into standing down or joining us in the hunt just so she can use them as meat shields to use against the problem.

Ill be at work for the next 8 hrs or so but will likely just wait and aim.

Sorry Ive been quiet for so long been dealing with my grandpa living with us now and taking care of him, he is getting better and handling himself more. So what have I missed? I see people rolling do I need to do any of that or am I ok to walk through the barrier now?

RL is always more important.  It's good to hear that he's doing better.

Anyone who wants to pass through the barrier has to roll WP at a +20 bonus and attain 5 degrees of success total to push through.  So it's an extended roll.  Failure doesn't hurt but if you fail by 5 degrees or more, aka a critical fail here, then you can't pass through the wall at all.
