I have 2gp...more than happy to put it in the 'henchmen/hireling' pot. Apart from a Cleric some more melee types would be nice.

But retainers are pricey...coin(s) per day plus a share of loot. Mercenaries like Archers and Heavy Foot are, sadly, non-adventuring.

We don't know the nature of the adventures, so I guess we'll see how things go. Maybe we can score a little loot in a low danger situation and then hire some retainers or buys some dogs to better handle more danger.

Howdy, Jira!  Something tells me we won't need an archer with you and Serafina in our group!

Since we've already got a mage type, I'm willing to make Enigma into a Cleric.  I've Clericed before, and am Clericing elsewhere, but am willing to Cleric Enigma nonetheless.  Kinda reeks that she hasn't got healing until 2nd level, but them's the breaks!  Makes sense since at 1st level her type'd pretty much be a fussy fighter who can scare dead people.

That's very generous of you, Enigma. Madoc will certainly feel better with some company at the front. There may be some other players joining, though...might be best to see what the GM says.

As an acrobat I do have some thiefy skills, mostly sneaking, and climbing and such.  However I have the remainder of my life savings which I can hire someone as needed.  For fortune and glory sometimes you have to spend money.

Just getting home, I will catch up on this tonight, but a quick note for you to think about: one of the adventures will be Lvl 2 based, the other will be Lvl 3, so you will have some play room with that upgrade too. As well as a bit of extra coinage.

I have the second adventure thread almost ready, should be public tmrw after I get home from work.

Not yet. I will have 2 adventure options posted this weekend. One of them (Between the Pines) already is. But I will also list any extra bits for them, such as what level and extra gear you have. You guys can then pick which adventure interests you, and then off we go. You will update your character and then we start.

Sweet to hear!  My offer still stands to recalibrate into a Cleric if need be, especially if we may or may not be starting at a higher level where healing will be available (and a bit better of an idea).

Alrighty, both adventure intros are posted. Take a look, note the game info in red at the bottom of each. Talk about it and let me know what adventure you guys are interested in. From there level up your character as needed, split up the extra equipment / gear, and we will hit the road!

My vote's for the level 1 adventure...Between the Pines. Bit of mystery and rp. But both sound good to me so happy either way really.

While I prefer a mix of RP, combat, and other activities, I dislike mysteries, puzzles, and riddles. So I am left to vote for the The Cavern of Forgotten Dreams.

I'm not the biggest fan of mysteries either. I always seem to spend my time wondering what to do and how everything fits together without making progress. Or so it seems. But, that being said I'm going to vote for the level 1 adventure anyway, because while it may be a mystery, it won't take extra work to get my character ready for it.

It is not a mystery in the sense of looking for clues, piecing together riddles and the like. More a scenario of strange happenings and 'not what it seems' plot lines.

Between the Pines is also Lvl 2, not Lvl 1.

I vote for Between the Pines because it reminds me of Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis plus we get free bar tokens.  Who doesn't like a free bar token?

They get you free drinks at the bar indicated on the token. In this case it is the "Stonewell Meadery and Meatery".

Sounds like it, I'll try and get Jira done and ready sometime tonight. No guarantees though. Its been a hectic week for me so far and I got a 4 year to help take care of tonight and into tomorrow evening.

Enigma is now a Cleric -- I've got your all's backs!  Especially since she can do more than grunt futilely while brandishing a holy symbol at corpses!  And I'm also for "Between the Pines", but am truly down for "whatever".
Is that 60 Gold Coins to be distributed between all of us?  ...as for bar tokens, she'll probably pass if they don't have the spirits she likes.  She's a picky drinker.

Okay leveled up.  I got two more HP and a couple of my acro skills slightly improved.  I still have GP from character creation so I don't really need anything moneywise at the moment.  If anyone else needs some vital supplies feel free to spend my portion of the 60 GP.

Cool! And thanks...I like our chances much better with a Cleric in the party.

As for the GP...shall we just split it fairly? 12 GP each?
