Twenty-four years ago was the last time the caverns were open for mining. The tales of that final day are still fresh on the minds of those that were alive, and left to linger in the imaginations of those that weren't. The screams, the carnage, the...well, it is best not to say.

The town of Broken Creek has went through hard times ever since. Without the precious copper veins to mine, the town has had little to export and less to live on. The drought has only made things worse. The crops have failed for the past few years, the creek mostly dried up, the fish and wildlife sparse. All because of the Forgotten One. His demands are too much, his hunger relentless, and his suffering infectious.

The town has put out a call for help: heroes to vanquish the curse on the town and free it's people from the suffering that has plagued Broken Creek and the surrounding lands. But, they best come prepared, for the Cavern hides something that should never be remembered.
