Hm. Can't thermal clips (or weapons with pre-Reaper venting systems) be fairly easily fabricated with personal tech and omni-gel? </Engineer>

They weren't uplifted. In 2186 the yahg had nearly completed their first spaceship. They are apex predators and incredibly smart. They became extremely formidable enemies because they are using Council ships and weapons against them.

As for crafting thermal clips with omni-gel, if that was possible wouldn't that have been in ME2 or ME3? Instead you had to find more or perform melee attacks.

Thermal clips were not invented in relation to the Reapers. The geth created them to eliminate inefficiency. It's faster to eject and swap than to wait for a cooldown.

As for using a pre-thermal clip weapon, is an option. It's been 23-24 years since the invention of thermal clips (exactly when was never revealed). Most soldiers are not going to be used to cooldowns, unless they are in their 40s-50s but then they would have 23-24 years to get used to and more than likely prefer thermal clips.

True. Which means any new developments depend on the state of the ship's fabricators and tech lab - which in turn depend on how much you want ME tech to spill out onto Thedas.



I meant in time, not in reasoning. Before Sovereign made its move and deployed geth forces using the new tech, which spread across the galaxy as soon as someone got a close look at geth weaponry.

JD killed one to two (depending on the mage’s status)
