Welcome to the other players, I'm here to be the sneakiness of the outfit, and the rest of you can be the muscle and suffer all the bruises.

Is the current IC intended to be time-advanced enough for the mundanes to arrive, or should we assume that he'd do daily greetings?

Sorry, shorthand from another forum that I didn't realize I used since I'm overtired.

What I meant was, people lacking superhuman physical traits, such as the ability to fly with superspeed.

Added a line about a video playing on how to operate the Wayne Enterprises version of a Motherbox.

Question: Does the WayneBox give off any noticeable signature when it operates, like a flash of light or sound, or do people just disappear and reappear? For example, in the comics, Boom Tubes are pretty obvious when they're used. I figure we'd learn this quickly since Wonder Woman just made a round trip with hers.

In reply to Ragman (msg # 9):

Waynebox. Nice name.

The boom tubes operate no differently than they do in the comics. With the one exception, a boom tube opened by a Mother Box or a Fatherbox can go from one planet to another whereas these are limited to Earth.

Nevermore, apologies if I was reacting incorrectly around your powers. I was basing my post off of your earlier post where you stated

quote:
drawing attention to himself and breaking his Forgetting for the group
, and thought that was still in effect.

How are we meant to keep from being startled every few minutes by your presence? My instinctive reaction to seeing someone in costume suddenly appear in my consciousness would be to treat it like an ambush situation, which clearly we don't want happening all the time.

You're all aware of me, and would be even if I wasn't specifically excluding you from Forgetting, since I've remained with the group and within immediate attention.

Nevermore's powers are directly based off ForgetMeNot, but I can exempt a small number of people from it; basically, once aware of my presence, a person stays aware until their attention drifts away.  In the backstory, Leonard has exempted four people: Batman, Nightwing, and his parents.  There's now seven, with the three PCs added to the list.

I won't be posting until Monday; I'm taking my son into the hospital for surgery and we'll be there for a few days while he recovers.

I'm back!

I've replied to the IC thread; let me know if Ragman's a bad fit for the team & I'll bring in a new character; I don't want to hamstring the game, but also want to make sure everyone's having fun. There are plenty of other heroes kicking around I could write instead.

In reply to Ragman (msg # 15):

Ragman’s perfectly fine. That said if you want a second character that is perfectly fine as well.

So he has no control over the suit? My only knowledge comes from Arrow tv series, from what I saw/remember the suit didn’t take souls automatically.

Per my character description:

Sense Evil Souls: The suit is drawn toward evil souls; it can sense them in its vicinity and is compelled to seek them out and attack them. This compulsion is also inflicted upon the wearer if he has the costume on. The evil acts of people who have been detected in this manner can also be sensed by the Ragman. This sensing of sins does not work on those people or beings who are not evil.

Steal Soul: The suit can steal a person's soul as long as it is still touching his body. Ragman will usually subdue a target to minimize their ability to resist, but this is not necessary. Once a soul is absorbed, the body is left a brain-dead husk and the mind and spirit become yet another rag on the costume. The stolen soul is not affected if the physical body subsequently dies.

None of that says the suit will steal souls beyond the control of the wearer.
