Re: OOC: The Hearth

I honestly had no idea that Morgana was central to the storyline. I was beginning to suspect she was important now but I merely saw her as La Belle Dame sans Merci. The Arthurian idea of a strong woman being the downfall of all good men. As a player I merely enjoyed seeing this campaign's Sorceress shine, like in our previous campaign where another Sorceress quickly became someone to fear.

My character is deeply afraid of her. Not because he sees her as wrong or evil. But because he sense her anger and knows how powerful she is and that makes her a very very dangerous person. But he also knows that right know she is their only hope so an alliance is neccessary. As a player I love her character and cant wait to see how she is going to be our doom :)

And I agree. Recruiting new players has met with little success in the past. It is rare to find players like you and I will hate to see our little merry band of brothers go our seperate ways.

Sir Aeddan:
Also, it's fun for me to write in really lofty English, but would everyone prefer that we write the story in more conversational modern English?  Would that make participating a little easier?

Not at all! It will ruin the fun if you ask me. If my character is challenged by another knight then I want him to speak lofty English and not just say "I am going to cut you up, booooi!". Personally my English is good enough to storm a castle but not really good enough to play the great diplomat and emmissary to foreign courts. I love the quests though and see it as part of the story but I am out of my element so I am just trying to remember the old Ivanhoe and Robin Hood movies and see how you guys write. I love it :)

Hmm, thanks for the insights. I'll definitely try and give it some thought to try and get a solution. I certainly don't want the campaign stopping because of me! :)

Re: OOC: The Hearth

Really sorry that I apparently didn't bother to let you all in on this.  :O  I put all of this stuff together in my mind and thought that I communicated it as well but apparently, not so much.  For instance, I thought I spelled this out more when I mentioned possibly bringing on a PC to play Morgana but looking back, nope, not really.  Sigh.

So this is not on you Sir Daron, this was a failure to communicate on my part.

I just thought you had a player that wanted to play a noblewoman sorceress :D

That was his plan the entire time, obviously ;)

Re: OOC: The Hearth

Hi all!  I'm waiting for either Sir Rhydwyn (Mr. 9-in-intrigue) or Sir Daron (even higher in intrigue) to say he'll go to the Queen's meeting with her knights, listen to what people say, and report back to Prince Mark.  Any takers?  :)

Re: OOC: The Hearth

Way to go, Mr. Intrigue, a.k.a. Sir Rhydwyn!!

Except the news we're learning is kinda scary.  Countess Ellen isn't interested in our Prince Mark because of King Idres's "boorish behavior," or whatever she said.  My mind is a blank -- does anybody remember what incident(s) she might be referring to?

Nope. No clue at all. But it sounds like we got a war coming our way very soon. Luckily Sir Abloc Battle skill is almost as useless as his Intrigue :D

Re: OOC: The Hearth

It lives?!

Honestly I thought (feared) that this was dead. It may still be the case as I never figured out if we reached an agreement on how to deal with The (Perhaps-Not-So) Evil Witch.

I have been enjoying the Summer though and hope we can continue our game. If the campaign has slowly died then I hope we can stay in touch and play some other time. You have no idea how much I have enjoyed playing with you guys - no drama, no bitching, no "see me, see me". Just pure fun as it is supposed to be.

I'm thinking it's only half-alive at this point ;)

In all seriousness, I don't want to see the game go, just not really sure where to go from here.

Re: OOC: The Hearth

That's so funny, I was falling asleep last night and suddenly realized that, hey, I haven't checked this page for something like a month!  Glad I came back and looked today.  Yes, I think we were hoping Sir Daron would come to see things differently, and I was willing to give him plenty of space & time to do that.  Looks like it didn't happen, though, and I'm awfully sorry to see that.

I'll contact ToT off-game and see if we might move forward.  Wishing everybody a great weekend!

Re: OOC: The Hearth

Good to hear from you Sir Aeddan! I hope Sir Daron isnt gone for good but I understand if ToT dont know how to continue the game as things are. I would love to keep playing or even play with you guys in another game. I cant tell you how much it means to me to play with people that dont see the campaign as a competition but instead just want to have fun and see the characters develop.

And ToT? you know I love your campaigns :)

Re: OOC: The Hearth

Sorry, string of stuff, starting with vacation, followed with a mild (but lasting) case of COVID.  Better now!

Still unsure exactly if there is some potential solution to the Morgana issue.  I think I am a little uninspired ATM because I feel like the next year or two IG are not going to be very interesting before the more interesting things start taking place.  Anyway, I will press on!

No worries for being uninspired, it happens.

In case you couldn't tell, I'm dripping with sarcasm there.

I am fine thank you and I hope you are all alright as well.

My apologies for my silence. I couldnt really tell if the campaign had ended or not, and then I simply forgot to check in.

If the campaign is dead then I am sorry because I always love ToT's campaigns. On top of that I have enjoyed playing with you guys ... nice people, good humour and just a nice atmosphere in general.
