Teller do we need to equal to or under to succeed on rolls? Sir Daron has a DEX of 9 so would rolling a 9 be a failure?

OOC: The Hearth

Rolling UNDER your score = Success
Rolling EXACTLY your score = Critical
Rolling OVER your score = Failure
Rolling 20 (unless your score is 20+) = Fumble

If your score is greater than 20, you add 1 to the die roll for each point above 20, so a score of 25 means 15-20 criticals, there is no chance of Failure or Fumble.

Indeed we suck at Dex and everything else for that matter.

Thanks for all the birthday greetings. He had a wonderful day and the weather was nice.

I have upgraded the description of Clethor Manor so it is ready to be sacked by marauding Saxons.

A belated happy birthday for your son Sir Abloc. :)

Also good to know I'm not alone with poor Dex!

Thanks :)

10 is not poor Dex. 10 is quite standard. But the God of Dice is a cruel and vengeful God

I've updated info for Sir Aeddan's manor (Altarnun); it's contingent on ToT's approval.  Go ahead and read the name without thinking of illicit activities.  Just try it.

Working on Sir Daron's manor. I rolled a '1', meaning either a toll or ferry. Any advice on which?

I don't believe that Treneglos is on a river, so probably toll.

I will generally roll, but no harm in you doing so if you are dealing with an easily-definable skill.

I'm so sorry to be gone so soon after the game just started, but this week is the last week of classes, and after that is finals. I'll be out of town May 8-9 because of graduation. Sorry if I had already posted this, but wanted to give you all a heads up.

Re: OOC: The Hearth

Do you sometimes roll a dice and when you see the results you want to hide somewhere?

Playing the harp at your Earl's grand party and then mess it up so badly is ... well ... Sir Abloc will now retire and become a hermit.

Nothing less.

*sigh*

Re: OOC: The Hearth

Starting Glory, right . . .

You inherit 10% of your fathers' Glory.  They were all notable knights with 2000-4000 Glory.  So roll 10d20 and add 200, that is your starting glory.  At the conclusion of the feast, you will get your 1000 for becoming a knight and you can then add 1 point to anything you like.
