I sent a list of PCs I wanted to talk to a while back, when you have the chance to put out a thread I would appreciate it.

Also, hi again everyone.

Rest up and don't stress your hand more than needed.

I've been holding Derek's reply in the meeting thread until we get the last of the waited posts in anyway. Already got it mostly saved. Hehe. :)

Re: OoC

FYI, I'm going to be going out of town for a camping trip over a long Labor-Day weekend, starting early Thursday morning, (like in an hour). Most likely I will NOT have internet access of any kind -- and even if I did I doubt I'd have time or ability to post anything substantial. I plan on returning late Monday and that'll be when I try to catch up on things here in RPOL.

DM, if needed, you have my blessing to NPC Kat while I'm gone.

Re: OoC

Hand is good.  And I just got my Starlink working.  I got it Monday but there was a problem with the dish, and I cancelled my internet before I tested it.  They sent me a dish that had a problem with its motor, so I was running my entire business on my phone, racking up data and my bill in the process.

I'm going to start updating now.

Re: OoC

No problem.

Everyone make sure you give the other players a chance to get involved in a conversation if they are present. If they don't post in a day or two go ahead, but don't carry about a prolonged conversation without giving a chance for others to jump in with their 2 cents.

Not to damper the last post in the Surviver's thread, but whether the tunnel will be picked or not hasn't been fully decided - at least I don't think. The alternative was laid out and still waiting to see the answer. Entirely possible everyone will be leaving by the cars. ;)

Re: OoC

Well, I had hoped that the offer Derek put forward would have been taken for more than one reason, but it wasn't to be I guess. The scene speaks for itself, with the ending bit more oriented towards whether insults were being aimed at his Clan or him personally - which the way it went looks like the insults were indeed intended for 'the Clan as a whole' given the exit chosen.

In that event, Derek was originally going to use a Sabbat trap that was set up at the very beginning of the scene. With the expressed concern that Andrew may have been a Sabbat (turned or captured) and the cause of Darian's coterie being attacked, Derek and his coterie set up a death trap in the first warehouse (hence the tunnel and actual meeting in the second one). The whole place was rigged to become an instant, thermite fueled inferno that would kill anyone in the warehouse when it was triggered. Of course, it was intended originally in the event the meeting was attacked by the Sabbat rather than used against another player, but here we are. And with his whole Clan now under a clearly expressed insult, his response would be swift and final - he'd blow the first warehouse when the offender was there. Justification? Someone willing to insult an entire clan while the city is under attack by the Sabbat is too great a disruption to be allowed to remain.

Of course, that plan was also pending the idea that everyone ELSE would be taking the cars back to safety (as they had been told to do earlier in the scene). With everyone having been nudged to join Eve, it would now result in an entire coterie (and thus all the other players in the scene) being incinerated in the trap. Since the game JUST got restarted, I don't want to be the cause of either killing 4 players (or seriously injuring them to the point of delaying story development for months while they heal). I also can't see Derek letting such insults slide in part or in whole either. With both the other players of his coterie having left long before this scene, it just doesn't make sense to ruin the game for 4 players on behalf of 1 with no other PC support. So probably the best end would be for he and his coterie to decide 'If the others want to insult us to such extremes, they can deal with things on their own' and just leave Toronto completely. Or, if the GM deems it, he can have them go ahead and blow the warehouse I suppose and end the game with a bang. :)

Personally, I just don't want to ruin the game for four players under these conditions. But I also can't see him sticking around and NOT blowing the offender of so many insults to hell and back - he's a Brujah after all; one that was insulted on multiple levels. It was fun while it lasted though! Hopefully the rest of the game continues well for everyone else!

So the Crucible will be leaving Toronto and letting everyone deal with matters in their own way, blacklisting the entire area through their respective Clans. Or, alternatively, blowing the warehouse anyway. Which route is picked I'll leave to the GM to decide. Good luck all!

Re: OoC

I honestly don't know what happened.  Out of character, I only read the parts that were not speech Derek.  I imagined Eve ignores the rest, doing her pouty Toreador walk out, after he had threatened to hit her, and kicked her out of his domain.

She figured if he had anything to say to her, he could say it in the neutral grounds of Elysium.

I don't want to argue OoC about our IC actions, as I said in private, but I don't mind explaining them.

With that said I wish you the best.
