Which way did the remaining 2 flee Hurtzag, through the darkwall towards the east or back west?

I will be away Friday to Sunday this week.

Sorry I've been dropping the ball with this game lately. If it's any consolation I'm behind in all other areas of my life as well right now. I'll move the attacking impala riders up in the next day if at all possible.

To Hurtzag's question: the darkwall isn't wide enough to block the whole canyon exit. The remaining riders will definitely not try to ride through it (as a huge troll just came out of it and they don't know there aren't more on the other side)but they are trying to skirt it and are faster than you

I'm sure we'd all understand that maybe some of the other areas ought to be given the priority :-)

However, I'll be ready to face up to Hawendona having to do something other than warble in the face of imminent demise whenever you get free

I know that feeling so well  :(

Gargle - your real life matters. The last 4 weeks have been very poor for me in the real world, so I have not had as much time as I want too.

Will try to get in a little better rhythm here.

To recap the situation thus far:
On learning of the waiting Praxian ambush from one of Wanakela's braves, Prince Envoranus sent two squads west to surprise the ambushers, hoping to crush them between the two forces. He also set up the hapless servant Blazik as a prince decoy. Hawendona used her singing skills to soothe the terrified servant.

Waiting until about half of the Avocets had crossed the steam, the ambushers summoned a water elemental that did something to one of the wagons, causing a traffic jam in the stream. It then took advantage of the confusion and two hoplites were pulled under water, both are missing. The elemental seems to have dematerialized after the Aggabortas struck it repeatedly with his spear.

The goal of surprising the waiting ambushers waiting in a ravine about a km to the west went much better than expected*. While half of the impala force circled to the north to gallop off and attack the wagons, the other half ran headlong into Zyxx and Daranmon's heavy infantry and were destroyed. A few survivors rode off through the ravine and one was killed by Hurtzag, the other two are fleeing.
The Crimsons Avocet force on the west side of the engagement is making haste to get back to the main force but it will take a while.

Back on the east, a mobilized Bison rider (why are the Bison and impala tribes working together? that can't be good) made a solo charge with the goal of killing the prince, but Wanakela's magic (which had been unsuccessful against the elemental) landed, sending him packing.

The Aggabortas got all of his troops out of the water and organized to meet a cavalry charge with slingers behind the hoplites.
The northern group of impalas joined up with the bisons and are conferring

The real prince saw the retreating bison rider as a target and took off solo to the north, in spite of the other developments. Coroltha dumped Blazik out of the saddle of the other horse and is off to try to save the prince. Wanakela is also going to ride with He Who Looks for Water in pursuit of Coroltha, the Prince, and mobilized Bison rider (aka Mr Blur).

Let me know if anyone's understanding is different.

*Due in part to the dice gods favoring the Crimson Avocet Company over the impala ambushers, at least so far...

I am not well at the moment, and have spent the last 2 days asleep with flu like symptoms. Therefore please understand that I am unlikely to post any orders till late this week (Friday is my guess).

Unrelated to anything much, I drive a jeep and apparently there's a thing in the US(?) where people will put DUCKS on jeeps.

1. (I should have specified--the ducks are put on your jeep by strangers. It's a delightful surprise)

2. You can assume that the three groups of the Crimson Avocets are reunited and the characters can interact. The prince and Coroltha are conferring about something. The third wagon is on the north side of the stream, the middle wagon is still stuck.

3. I'll be in travel mode but still expect to be able to post some over the next week.
