Hi Folks.

I am looking forward to joining you all on this new adventure. I am new to roleplay online, but I am not a roleplay Noob as I have been roleplaying for far too many years (and roleplay tabletop or online 3 or 4 nights a week, and LARP 8-12 times a year). I am also happy to amend my roleplay style of play to fit in with what ever style of play others do in RPOL. Please can you provide me constructive advice/support on how to play using RPOL while I learn, as I am very happy to learn to get better to provide more fun time for us all.

Gamewise - I am happy playing most character types, but like all of us I like some more than others.

I now need to get my rulebook off the shelf and promote it to bedtime reading.

The Blue Moon has always interested me.  Actually I'd thought of some Blue Moon character for this game but I'd then wondered whether I'd need to be an Uz character...

I live in Western Australia, and played TRPGs years ago when growing up, then stopped for a couple of decades before getting back into it a few years back (with the Three Feathered Rivals Rpol game I mentioned).

Currently in a couple of D&D 5e campaigns IRL (though we play irregularly due it being hard to everyone to meet up due to busy lives, even though WA has almost no incidence of COVID-19), and trying to run a Call of Cthulhu campaign IRL for friends who know nothing about Chaosium/BRP systems (only 1 session to date).

Edit: just a quick introduction for now, but I might not post again for over a week, as I'll soon be out of town for over a week and might have little or no internet connection (or time).

I've been gaming for many years, over the last 20 years or so mainly online. Played a few systems and worlds. I like RQ and I love Glorantha, so I keep coming back :)

Best advice Zyxx is roleplay rather than rollplay, and have fun. Will certainly try to help out if you have any RPOL mechanics questions.

I can happily let you know that I strongly agree with you. I have designed my character in my head, and have created a pen picture. I am very much Rollplay over Ruleplay to the extent that I created a group to play in that style, instead of the min-max way that some players want 5E games to become.
