I propose we adopt the 0-level spells supplement for Mages and Clerics with the option of letting them have access to all of the orisons and cantrips instead of a certain number. Having played bazillions of 1st level characters/games, having DM'd several, I don't feel these options are over-powered by any means, and gives the magicky-types a little extra to make them more fun to play.

0 level spells are a good option. Right now it only affects one character. Go ahead and make the adjustment to your character sheet.
