Re: Out of Character Chat

So there are a bunch of quality of life upgrades available in the NG book(s).

That's part of what we are looking into.

Re: Out of Character Chat

We could always go on NGTv (Northern Gun), one of those unit re-outfitting shows, see if they can remodel it within our budget. LOL

In reply to Nutball (msg # 478):

$5,000 'Camper option', Ninjas & Superspies, p79. Plus bucket seats for $200 a pop and a refreshment dispenser for $450 on the same page!

It's like a thousand bucks more expensive in Heroes Unlimited (the bucket seats are a hundred bucks more too, but the refreshment dispenser isn't), but there's also a fancy luxury option for $15,000.

That's cool. Never thought about looking outside of RIFTs but were in a town that specializes in Retro.

Re: Out of Character Chat

There, maybe that will seem a reasonable way to handle my inconsistent response times.  I hope it makes sense & meshes well.

I've noticed that the developers of this game love putting in details about the vehicles, equipment, & weapons, but don't seem to be consistent or accurate about said details, & even less so about the prices.  *shrug*

You may notice if you look back a bit, Hawkins and I argue about this a lot. ^_^

Re: Out of Character Chat

now, you see, that is living. nutball ate some take out from Luigi Chan's chinese-italian delicatessen (General Tsoa's spicey chicken alfredo with fried rice and house salad with ceaser on the side). He even took time out to tale a nap. beat that you swamp rats.

however, staying behind to get clean, fed, rested, and prepared for what comes next, Nutball has the oppportunity (yes three p's, it's a good opportunity) to drop a few eaves. Roll perception twice.

He would make a fine soldier:  As soon as he can, shit, shower, shave, sustenance, and sleep.
18:26, Today: Nutball rolled 23,12 using 1d20+3,1d20+3.  Perception.
Nice to see at least one Natural 20 in the Perception rolls.

True.  And your girls are always b*tches.  But, for Killian, that's not a bad thing.

Ok, thanks.   I don't suppose you could share the book & page all that gear you're mentioning is from?  It sounds like a book I don't have access to, even in PDF.

Btw what are Killian'S and Book's PS stats? or if you don't want to be specific are they Normal PS 30+, Augmented PS 25+, or better?

Opens up a lot of options if they are.

25, allowing him to haul around 800lb.'s in stuff before he runs into trouble. It's not however, augmented.

Strong indeed but it falls a little short of the Mega-Juicer Combat EBA I was hoping to get you.

His stats rolled out to be aggressively mediocre and the MJEBA's pretty damn' ugly. Also not really on Killians radar for equipment. ^_^

Re: Out of Character Chat

The NG version isn't quite as hideous and 130 MDC is nothing to sneeze at but you're the one who has to wear it.

What is your preference?

Re: Out of Character Chat

In reply to Hawkins (msg # 496):
I was asking about the Fatigues, Helmets, Tank Coats, and Hard Case Packs, & now I would like to add the Bushman Trooper to the list.
.
In reply to Killian (msg # 498):
Since when is a stat of 25 mediocre?   Did it take a bunch of Physical skills to get that high or something?  Killian is almost as strong as Douglas!
.
In reply to Hawkins (msg # 497):
Douglas has a STR of 28, thanks to the super steroids.  His stats were pretty bad to start, with only a few above 10, which I promptly put into his mental stats, & several well below it.  It's not robotic or supernatural, but he can lift more than normal.
.
- Super Endurance/Strength:
Can lift and carry four times more than a normal person of equivalent strength and endurance, and can last 10 times longer before feeling the effects of exhaustion.
  (carry 2,240 lbs/ 1,016 kg) (lift 4,480 lbs/ 2,032 kg)

.
As for armor, Douglas prefers lighter armor than that.  He is fairly sneaky when he wants to be, & being a scout type, he prefers more mobility than that thing allows.

Re: Out of Character Chat

In reply to Douglas William Book (msg # 502):

It's not terribly bad by itself, but that's after racial and skill bonuses. The actual dice rolls that Killian got were decidedly meh.
