Greb responds "funny you should mention pants. That's where I hid the Prince......no, wait...That's the King, not the Prince." He tries to avoid her questing fingers, then backflips out of range.

Greb, you do get an attack of opportunity should you choose to take it. I believe you do not have any weapon drawn, so it will likely be an unarmed non-lethal damage attack, but you have the right to defend yourself against the tickle attempt.

OOC While it is true that he does not have a weapon in hand, Greb has spring-loaded wrist sheathes on both arms. With a Swift action the daggers in those sheathes can appear in his hands. However, he recognizes the playful nature of the 'attack' and chooses to backflip away.

Searching for the Prince (Chapter 1)

"We have to find missing Prince? Maybe best way is to find where he was seen, then ask around. Eavesdrop in places where rumors and gossip travel faster than a King's messenger."

Greb's note was responded to by way of Reign's nod. At the thought of questioning, he presumed he would need to keep his hood up. He'd never heard of his kind being prejudiced against, but they were often revered, and he didn't need all that attention at once.

However, it seemed Qarley's antics would draw enough attention as it were.

Reign sighed smokily as he ashed out his cigar, already feeling as though he wasted a good smoke by giving one to Qarley. "Asking questions would be...a start, Greb." Greb had clearly indicated their intelligence; it seemed maybe this other group wasn't completely made up of marionette-play misfits. At least Greb had a vested interest in the mission, so maybe, just maybe, his own head wouldn't be blown off for an offense not his own.

"I suggest we entertain princely ideation. Perhaps a tailor, for fine clothes, perhaps. First, of course, I suggest we start here."

With that, Reign began casing the tavern, asking those that worked there, alongside notable patrons, for clues on the princes whereabouts. Reign did not possess the communicative skills that came with expert investigation; it seemed a life spent skipping across planes didn't inspire common communication. He would have liked to try and keep his questions brief and succinct, low key enough to not draw the attention of too many.

With this group, the idea of discretion was lofty if not futile.

I hope the scarecrow investigation at least proves more fruitful.

Reign will take 10 (20 if possible) to Gather Information on prince's whereabouts, recent sightings. Perhaps trying to find out if there was a place that his description fit for frequency.

Searching for the Prince (Chapter 1)

Qarley followed Reign and blew smoke rings whenever he asked someone a question, then winked at the person being interviewed to aid in the interrogations. "We're spies working for the prince. Gotta stay low key." She explained.

"But maybe it was really really stupid to tell everyone the prince was missing in the first place????" She whispered to Greb.

"Do you remember what Banner said about the prince? How did they know the prince was missing if everyone doesn't know? Or does everyone know?" She whispered to Reign.

Searching for the Prince (Chapter 1)

Asking around suggests that most people didn't even know the Prince was even in town. It would seem that he was not drawing attention to himself and "roughing it" in disguise as a commoner.

A shady looking individual takes interest in the group due to the antics and approaches them. This thin human man in a goatee and slightly luxurious, but poorly kept clothing spoke up.

"I've seen the prince. I can help you find him, but you might not like it..."

Searching for the Prince (Chapter 1)

Greb has been lying low, watching for any that either act furtive or display an unusual interest while Reign and Qarley ask their not-too-subtle questions. He is alerted by the movement of the man with the goatee, and slips up unnoticed behind him when the man approaches Reign. He says from behind and below "you are groomed like a nobleman. Were you part of the Prince's retinue?"

Searching for the Prince (Chapter 1)

Reign looked the stranger over. For them to assess by the description that they were looking for the prince...this man certainly knew something. Greb seemed to be asking the right questions himself, and Reign made a mental not of the goblin's countenance. Exceedingly practical. Certainly appreciated by Reign.

It was still hard for Reign to recognize any of these mortals' miens; his last ten years spent on this plane had him locked away in a cell, and before that the Plane of Air gave him little time to assess personalities outside of the whimsical. Still, he attempted to watch the stranger's reactions calmly, his arms cross and, for once, free of cigar smoke wafting about him. When he had the chance, he would also ask, "What reason did he have for the sewers?"

Qarley's quiet demeanor brought about a rare down-turned lip in Reign's sign of approval, and he nodded his head more at her gesture than her. He had no idea that they knew what silence sounded like, and how not to be...well...a beacon of casualty. He could get used to her hand raising very quickly. In fact, he practically was already, but what dreams may come?

Once there was another break in the conversation, Reign would say, "Would you like to ask a question, Qarley?"

Greb growls "doesn't the goblin have a say in this? If you gave the Prince your clothes, were there any distinct patches or colors that could be used to identify him? And where precisely did this exchange take place? I need a starting point if we're going to track the bastard."
