What is reasonable for character generation timeline? I'm asking because I have another game near ready to launch. I want to find the ideal timeline. :)

Give it a few days probably. Everyone has different days they have free time and making a character is a lot more work than making an IC post.

A few days is less than I expected. I will probably be waiting a few days just to see what players have to say here.

I have a game I STed that took two months to get the last characters made, and I don't know how normal that is for RPoL.

It's not. 2 months is a bit absurd. Like a week from people being added to have a complete draft and then maybe another week to finish tweaking. Exalted isn't THAT complicated you are just making a lot of choices.

My sheet is starting to come together pretty well, how is everyone else doing?

I am also finishing my character sheet.

Hmmm. I might swap one of my Joint Bearings to an additional arms so I can get some more speed. I'm sort of invested in melee (assuming the DM replies favorably to me PM) but I might as well be really fast if we are all going to be melee.

I'm stealthy-ish. Not as good as it could be if I focused it harder. But I did go Ess 3 so I have Dex Perfection. Not rolling is really good. Now that I think of it I did but stealth up to 5 so I might swap my Dex Excellency to the one where you are considered to have 5 in a skill. Still meets the prereq. Which is nice.

I'm a bit slow ATM. I will prefer to see everyone feel comfortable with the pace. This is, after all, a slower game. I will, however, be looking very seriously into RPoL on Friday nights, starting the 7th. It would be nice if things were mostly sketched out by then. I'll, of course, not penalize anyone for my own latency.

Picking a day is a good call. I had decent luck doing that in one of my games.

Question are we using 15 or 18 bonus points. It was errata'd to 18 from the original but it's an easy thing to forget/miss/disagree with.

Quick answer is 18 pts. I updated it explicitly in case anyone had a disparity in knowledge of the distinction within the Scroll of Errata as pertains to all characters, versus only solaroids (as I call them).

Do note, that once we transition to Creation, your Class background will be dormant. This transition will likely be one way for the continuation of the story and a few future stories. In the course of the series, should RL permit, you'll be able to pursue returning. Don't count on Class being there later, but know it will count early on.

This was bugging my OCD, and I really need to just clarify. Just because I have day set aside doesn't mean we're going to be trying to adhere to an unnatural rhythm. Post as you're comfortable, not out of fear of optimization. Read the same. I will inevitably stray from this norm, for better or worse. I just wanted to say I took a big step in getting some semblance of normalcy set.

Hello. After a bit of delay I nearly finished my sheet. It's been a long time since I didn't play second edition so I was reading again the books.

I have yet to finish the backstory of my character. Do we all come from the same nations? And if yes which one (I like Kamak the most among the eight)?

I'm likely going to be able to set aside time tonight, and also tomorrow night. So look for replies more germane tonight. I need to rest today, for about six hours, and then I'll be spending sometime with my roommate and possibly a friend online, but then I'll be free after that, for a few hours. If I am, I plan to use some of that time to GM my other gane, and move this game along where I'm the one that needs to.

Please, however, don't feel rushed. Friday happens to be a usually late day, but tomorrow it won't be. At least not for my roommate. My friend online lost their father to cancer, and so is very depressed, in a clinical and healthy way, so I don't hold her to being on short or long. It could be either. If it's short, I'll be on RPoL. If it's long, I'll still definitely have tomorrow night. My roommate works early every Saturday, and my online friend spends time with her family then, as that's her off work weekend.

Again, feel free to take it easy. I don't need to have material this early to work with. I just want to be available to, if it's waiting on my perusal.

So, Aegis, is your sheet coming along? Or have you been done long ago? Or do you have a pending question before you can move forward?

Awesome! I think that's all three of you.

We'll start soon, unless sheet changes need to be made. I'll advertise for players if it seems reductive at the introduction, after each of your characters have had a chance to interact. If the three of you seem happier to stick with the chemistry (or alchemy) of you three, rather than mix in an unknown, I will keep the series handled for the three of you. If it seems like something is missing, you may want to take the gamble by adding one or two to the group.

FYI: no XP will be spent prior to the game start, but you'll have time to spend it before we get to the first story itself.

Going over this character sheet first. Judging by activity, I hope (though don't know) I can handle this prior to Friday, so that I can shift to the other two of your sheets some Friday, and we can look at starting the following week, possibly even a couple days later.
