Since we're all kind of running around doing different things in different places, you can all consider yourselves privy to information that any of the other players gains from talking to a person.

Good Morning. My name is Mike Eschbach. I am a published author of 3 short stories that range from about 17000 words to almost 40000 words. My publisher is Smashwords.com, which has been in business for almost 17 years and going strong. I've been writing since I was a young man and I've been writing this series since 2018. I'm currently writing the fourth installment as we speak.

I asked our DM if I could share this with you. My stories are very affordable, starting .99 for the first two, then $3.99 for this latest story.

More important, I believe these stories are exciting, interesting and because I am prior military, there is an element of authenticity that many writers don't have.

To give some perspective on the manticore fleeing, in 2 rounds you had him down to 14 hp, and he'd managed to hit one of you.

From his perspective, he should have fled in the first round instead of the second.

I wished i could have gotten closer sooner.   A nice ice knife might have made all the difference

You still get full credit for defeating it, so you don't miss out on anything beside satisfaction of the killing blow.

Your entangle spell held it in place for a round. Had it not we wouldn't have gotten that far

It was a well rounded effort on all parts. I was kidding, but everyone did pull their weight. This is a good group - and I'm not being condescending. I would happily play any of these characters. And as players, you all do a fine job of playing your characters. FWIW.

So, that said, let's keep on truckin'.
