Hopie, you forgot to change the dice from d20 to d10.

Also, I think when being sneaky you can use either acrobatics or crime, whichever is higher.

Don't have the rulebook handy at the moment, will have to double check.

Oops sorry 😬. If I'm using acrobatics instead of crime though I guess it's d10+9.  I'm on my tablet so could you roll for me please?

I just rerolled for you and edited your message to reflect the corrected roll.

And I've verified in the core rulebook that acrobatics can be used instead of crime when being sneaky or stealthy.

I'm confused by the IC on the girls' side:

-Brittany leaves locker room ostensibly for library
-Hopie finishes changing
-Hopie leaves locker room to sneak to the library
-Hopie arrives at library sneakily
-Brittany follows Hopie's example at the library - having arrived after her or first but spotted her?

This is how I interpreted it:

*Brittany leaves locker room to go to library.

*Hopie leaves locker room and follows Brittany to the library.

*Hopie runs ahead of Brittany and goes through library entrance first.

*Brittany then follows Hopie  into the library.

I just edited Brittany's post to reflect that.

Blargh.  Twice I came back to my computer and saw that I had walked away without hitting send.  Need to stop doing that.

Rules on crosses:

If you read the section in the core rule book about crosses in holy water, it describes using a physical cross to repel a vampire.  And the vamp can defend from that by knocking the cross from your hand.  Touching a vampire with a cross causes two points of damage.

No mention of wearing pictures of crosses repelling vamps or holding up two sticks in cross shape, etc.

That's consistent with the show as I recall.

So that's the rule in effect here.  You can only repel a vamp with a Christian cross you can hold in your hand or wear around your neck that you obtain in a church, religious store, etc.  Pictures of crosses on clothes or holding two stick in cross shape won't work.  If it did, vamps would be way to easy to repel.

On lighting on the cemetery:

Between moonlight, residual light from nearby buildings, and a few exterior lights in the cemeteries, there will always be enough light to move around and fight without penalty.  Buffy and the characters never seemed to have a problem with enough light in the cemetery and neither will we.

Is the effect of injecting Holy Water the same as ingesting holy water?

Re: OCC Thread

Say for example, you had a syringe filled with holy water.  You stabbed a vamp with it, then injected it, that would count as internal ingestion of holy water.

Of course, keep in mind a minor can't just buy a syringe on demand, so this option would be very limited.

If you're thinking of dipping crossbow arrows in holy water, and then shooting a vamp, that wouldn't do it.  Not enough holy water.  A splash of holy water does two points of damage.  The amount of holy water on the tip of an arrow would be negligible.

Re: OCC Thread

A tranquilizer dart filled with holy water would count as internal ingestion.

Except tranquilizer darts with holy water don't exist.

Somebody with Billy's scientific genius would have to custom make them one at a time.

Re: OCC Thread

Anyone have anything else to add to this discussion?

Sounds like the characters have a plan.  Brittany, Billy, and Hopie show up early and hide.

Liam and Tori show up with Tori disguised so the vampires think she's the slayer.

Good guys attack.  Epic battle ensues.

If you're done planning, we will move ahead to later tonight.

Re: OCC Thread

I’ve heard nothing from Billy.  I assumed he would be up close as well.  If he has a flash, that is probably best used in close.  Plus, only two people showing up for a group event seems like a poor showing.

Is Tori comfortable with them thinking she might be the Slayer?

Cool, what do you have?  I have an existing one but I think it's winding down.  My next plan is to convert Esoteric Enterprises to be Powered by the Apocalypse and allow a group to explore the horrors that are under London.
