Rules & Expectations

Game is rated Mature and will abide by RPol guidelines for Mature games:
quote:
Mature games are games which have (as some minor portion of them) mature themes, strong language, drug use, and/or extensive violence.  Mature games use the Mature Content flag to warn potential readers that some of the game material may be considered offensive.  Despite this flag, Mature Games must remain suitable to all ages.

No graphic sex or gratuitous violence.  I prefer not to worry if any of my kids look over my shoulder so posts should be PG and fade-to-black for anything beyond.

As for this particular time period in American history and some of the more notorious behavior, the Deadlands book says it best:
quote:
In Deadlands, bigoted, hateful, and outright racist people and attitudes haven’t gone away—in the South or the North. But they’re always the province of villains and the shamefully ignorant.

The heroes are expected to be of a higher caliber.

The target posting rate is twice a week; faster is good but I'm going to commit to try to at least maintain this rate as long as players are posting.  Lord knows things happens in RL, especially in this crazy time, so a quick note that you're away for an extended period is appreciated.  After all other players have posted and GM determines enough time has passed without any update from a player I may post for them or otherwise move the game along.  2 weeks with no check-ins and a player may be dropped in the interest of others.

Everyone will be members of the Twilight Legion and will be expected to work together.  This isn't just a game but also a shared storytelling experience.  Please share, collaborate and plan.  PC disagreement is okay but talk to each other to agree how it will help the experience.  Be considerate, include others on any actions you're pretty sure could cause problems for the entire group and give them a chance to veto.  As an extreme example: deciding to shoot the judge during your partner's trial.....mmmmm, might be necessary buuuuuut it would be courteous to run that by everyone 1st just to make sure becoming wanted felons is where they'd like the adventure to go.

I plan to use one of these published adventures but have no preference so the players will decide which by majority vote:
  1. Horror at Headstone Hill
  2. Blood Drive
  3. Showdown at Sundown
