This thread will keep a running tally of the NPC's throughout the story and any relevant statistics or updates that may become relevant.

I am Scavius of Shadow street, once a man, transformed into what you see before you forced to watch events unfold, lighting the street along with the other souls who violated the terms of their sanctuary.  All has been stripped away but bitterness and contempt for those still living.  I am unable to affect any changes to the actual world.

In reply to Brandwyn Merren (msg # 3):

I am Gold Claw  Grask, the owner/operator of the Sign of the Fallen Flame.  A large restaurant, bar, and inn on Tanglewing street that is made from the remains of an ancient slain dragon.

When the new city was suddenly raised from the desert scape dragons that considered the area to be part of their territory viewed them as a threat to be attacked before the humans got a foothold.  The first dragon that attacked Theradane was promptly brought low, landing within the new city limits, flattening an entire street.

An early immigrant to Theradane, Gold Claw Crork purchased the rights to the land from the city council of Theradane for a song.  The city council provided further assistance in the endeavor by creating tanglewing street to commemorate the dragon’s downfall and to feed patrons into the Dragon’s mouth.

In reply to Goreclaw Grask (msg # 4):

I am inspector Tangleweb of the Theradane Sanctuary Enforcement Division.  It is my duty to ensure that those who have paid the tithe do not violate their terms of sanctuary.  I'm very easygoing and if you don't cause a fuss, neither will I.

However, when activated I am a tireless and relentless force.

In reply to Inspector Tangleweb (msg # 5):

Afternoon boss!!!  I'm a highly adaptable and chipper automaton... you can work with Brandwyn and myself if you need any... mechanical assistance.

quote:
Shraplin Self–Made, softly whirring concatenation of wires and gears, wore a tattered vermilion cloak embroidered with silver threads. His sculpted brass face had black gemstone eyes and a permanent ghost of a smile. A former foundry drudge, he’d taken advantage of the old Theradane law that a sentient automaton owned its own head and the thoughts therein. Over the course of fifteen years, he’d carefully stolen cogs and screws and bolts and wires and gradually replaced every inch of himself from the neck down until not a speck of his original body remained, and he was able to walk away from the perpetual magical indenture attached to it. Not long after that he’d found klepto–kindred spirits in Amarelle Parathis’ crew.
