Where She Stops, Nobody Knows!

Breya was bloodied and smelled half cooked, but this would be the hardest earned muskrat dinner anyone ever had.

All right he didn't move so far that Breya or Bellinha got any attacks of opportunity on him, so my same opponent must be within 5 feet.  Meaning second verse, same as the first.

20:09, Today: Breya rolled 29,8 using d20+12,d10+7.  Full Attack Action. – 29,8

So the first attack hit.

20:09, Today: Breya rolled 16 using 1d3+13.  Damage. – 16

Refreshes his Bleeding.  Still only get it once a round but might as well take it.

20:10, Today: Breya rolled 3 using 1d4.  Bleeding. – 3

So 19 damage, and also that was a power attack, so CORNUGON SMAAAAAAAAAAAAASH

20:11, Today: Breya rolled 27 using 1d20+10.  Cornugon SMAAAAAAAAAASH. – 27

I think that will render him shaken for the next 2 rounds, which is good because I think last round's shaken has already expired.  Pretty good round there all considered.

Cassandre was shocked! She expected a little kerfuffle, but this was all-out modern warfare!

She dashed forward as fast as her little legs would take her —it wasn’t very fast. And assessed the situation.

House on fire? People bleeding on the street? Halflings fighting with a book? Cornugon smash??

She missed her life as a fancy fair fortune teller. Not.

If anyone was attempting to flee the scene, she’d be on them.

Bellinha suddenly appears like the dervish she is and sword smacks the priss right out of Prissy.

Just kidding.  Prissy is waaaaaayyyy too prissy for that.

But then, with a priss-shattering ka-twang, one of Kamatar's arrows smacks into the robed wizard, sending him spinning into Jack's arms.  Jack, I'm just going to let you grapple him.  He's only got a few HP left at this point anyway

Meanwhile, your knife seems to remind you that it's a poor craftsman who blames his tools Skeeter, because Mouthy just smacked both you and Mimic!

Mimic took one for the team Skeets.  You take 17 pts damage.  Poor booky...

Well.  He was fun while he lasted.

Meanwhile, Macey's eyes get really big as Breya CORNUGAN SMMMMMAAAAAAASSSSSH's him.

Prissy is down, at least for the moment.  Jack, let me know how you plan to keep him that way.

Macey is shaken for 2 rounds.

Poor Skeet is about to be by his lonesome.  Just sayin'.

Go Team You Guys!

Cass noted the situation was not all that brought on the porch of the blazing house.

She had heard before of an expression, fighting fire with fire. She wasn’t not sure what it meant, but she thought she would give it a try.

With a shout, she gave Skeeter a split second warning…
  “Incoming!”

Surely the halfling would know what it meant?
“Igni Globus…” were the next words out of her mouth.

A pinch of sulphur dissipated in her hand, and a small orb of orange light shot across the skirmish, between Bell and Breya and towards the house.

A brief moment later the whole porch was engulfed in bright red flames, and Cassandre grinned.

Jack wrestles prissy's hands behind his back, trying to use some of his rope to tie him up.  If successful he'll check that Prissy is not in danger of dying before retrieving his crowbar and heading for Wandy, preferably after the fires of Cassandre's wrath have died down enough for Jack to try the same trick on him.

Bellinha, seeing Prissy tied p by Jack, gave Jack a quick nod of appreciation before turning her attention back to Breya and her...

Fireball!  The explosion on the front steps of the Comb home drove the breath from her chest.  Her eyes widened in shock as she watched the building burn.  Behind her, Breya seemed to be struggling again with her opponent.  The large man with the mace was wobbling a little and had a couple of Kamatars arrows sticking out of him.  For a moment, a brief moment, Bellinha was torn about what to do.  She wanted to help Breya, but there could be people still inside the burning house.

The brief moment passed and Bellinha ran towards the burning building, and the guy that Skeeter was fighting.  The one who was holding the wand that had launched the fireball into Orus' home.  She growled as she slashed her broadsword at the man.

Good news Skeeter!  You're no longer by yourself!  A big, shiny fireball has come to your assist!

As Cass points out in the OOC thread:  DC 17 save please.  You do have Evasion, don't you?  I'm almost positive you do

Mouthy sees it coming as well and yells something that rhymes with duck-and-tuck-her before the air around you both is filled with a halfling shattering KA-BOOOM!

Meanwhile.

Prissy curses and smells nice Jack, but other than that he seems down for the count.

You connect this time Bellinha.  Macey can only stagger against the onslaught.

And in case you're keeping track Breya, that Bellinha's onslaught.  Cos yeah.  But the next one!  You'll get it next time for absolutely sure!

Meanwhile, you all see the fireball launch from Cassandre's direction and blow up what was left of Orus' porch.  Soon, the entire first floor of his manor is a roaring mass of flames and such.

Macey only has 12 more HP!

Mouthy...well I'm sure he's got some left!

Prissy smells like an Alpine forest.  A manly Alpine forest.

Go Team You Guys!  Almost there!  Where?  You'll fine out!

Having dealt fire, Cassandre moved closer and tried something else. She had heard that Ice and Fire sing well together, but that was an other story.

She formed a small orb of snow in her hands, whispering to herself “Viburnus Pugna.”

Her aim was pretty poor and her arm fairly weak, but Apollo the cat used a strident meow to hopefully distract her target for a second.

The icy projectile flew straight for mouthy.

Breya never dreamed she'd be fighting William H. Macey, but here it was.  A left cross found its mark.

08:39, Today: Breya rolled 25,11 using d20+12,d10+7.  How about a nice Hawaiian Punch. – 25,11

All right the first attack hits.

Before I do that though, he might have still been bleeding next round and probably was.

08:42, Today: Breya rolled 1 using 1d4.  Last round bleeding. – 1

1 damage is 1 damage!  But that's last round not this round.

Now back to this round!

08:42, Today: Breya rolled 15 using 1d3+13.  Damage Roll. – 15
08:42, Today: Breya rolled 1 using 1d4.  Bleeding. – 1

16 damage this round.  That was two rounds, so now let's see if he's shaken again.

08:44, Today: Breya rolled 16 using 1d20+10.  Cornugon SMAAAAAAAAAASH. – 16

I don't think that's high enough, no help there this time.

Once Prissy is firmly tied (and gagged as an afterthought, always a good idea with wizards).  Jack runs up behind Mouthy and hits him in the back of the head with his crowbar, hoping to knock him unconscious rather than dead.  If these guys are slavers he has a wicked idea which he won't carry out but which makes him chuckle all the same.

Move Action - Run up behind Mouthy
Attack action - non lethal crowbar attack
15:51, Today: Jack Ketch rolled 11 using 1d20+7.  Crowbar as light club (non lethal). – 11

As the bright seering glare of fireball leaves your vision Skeeter, you see your dagger has cut a small chunk from Mouthy's forearm.

As he snarls at you, smoking from the fireball, he raises his blade...

...and gets whacked by Bellinha.  He staggers to one side, which causes Jack's crowbar and Cassandre's snowball She really blows hot and cold, doesn't she? to miss him.

Macey topples over from your last salvo Breya.  He doesn't seem like he's getting up anytime soon.

Okay.  Sorry for some confusion.  Had to level set.

Skeet, you now have Bellihna and Jack with you.  Do let me know if you evade that fireball.  I'm pretty sure you do.

Cass, you'll be there post after this one.  Breya, I think you have a move rate that will let you get over there with your next post.  Kam, Mouthy is in range for you.

Mouthy is a 21 to hit.

Questions?

Bellinha gripped her broadsword with both hands and slashed it at the Mouthy guy who had been tossing fireballs into the Coombs' residence.  The blade bit into the man but Bellinha had little time to think on how satisfying that should have been.

"No!  There might be people still in the house!"  Bellinha replied, a slight hint of panic in her tone, her head whipping around to the burning first floor.  In the next instance, she was running into the house, shouting out names.

"Orus!  Jacko!  Is anyone in here?!" She shouted over the flames.

OOC:
Bellinha Grunnel rolled 27 to hit Mouthy with her broadsword for 8 damage (forgot to include the +4 in the dice roller)

Cassandre had, maybe naively, assumed the house to be empty! Upon hearing Bellinha shouting for Orus and Jaco, she realised that may not be the case...

The little wizard carried on walking, and cast a divination spell. Her speciality, after all.

Two fingers placed on her temple, she stared at the burning house and whispered; "Cogitationes deprehendo"

She scanned the area ahead of her for surface thoughts, lingering just enough to identify her companions so that she could filter them out, and hopefully sense, if not yet locate, survivors in the flames. Surely being caught in such a blaze would warrant strong thoughts that shout out over the rest!

Mouthy takes your blow Bellinha.  But with your attention diverted, he manages to swipe across your back with his sword.  I added in the +4 Bell.  You'll take 10 pts yourself.  But it's kind of academic at this point

Then poor mouthy is beset upon by Kamatar's arrow and Jack's crowbar.  He staggers!

And falls!  As Skeeter<purple> starts his patent-pending "walk up their right side", Mouthy comes tumbling down!  It seems he took a bit more of that fireball than anyone expected.  He crashes to the ground.

<purple>Cassandre
...your horns are a-tingle...

The house is burning quite nicely.  The entire first floor is ablaze at this point.  If anyone can come up with a nifty idea of extinguishing them, I'm all ears.

The villagers are forming a bucket brigade.

If anyone wants to rush in to try to find survivors, that is possible.  If you have something fire resistant.

Let me know.  Thanks

Bellinha ran into the building, heedless of the blaze that was the first floor.  There might be people in here.  Orus had a butler and some maids so even if he wasn't here they might be.

Bellinha coughed and continued to call out names.  She tried to use her Ray of Frost cantrip as something to try but it was the best that she could come up with at that moment.  If there was no one on the main floor, she would try to make her way to the second, and hopefully get some respite from the flames.

OOC:
Bellinha is running in, Damn the Torpedoes!  She doesn't have any fire resistance so I assume that she'll be taking damage.  She does have the Ray of Frost cantrip but I'm going to assume that it won't do much.

Cassandre moved closer, as close as she could to the house without feeling the burn on her cheeks that would break her concentration. She focused on her spell with renewed intensity, as she realised how important this was. She also felt stupid for fanning the flames with her own fireball; even if it was targeted outside, it certainly didn’t help.

In a trance, she mumbled for others to relay in a louder voice:
« Two people still in, maybe three… silent screams of anguish…
   One… back of the house… not loud…
The other one, or two… at the front… sitting room.
 They...they aren't very strong… »

Apollo the cat darted around the house, looking for other points of entry.
