Zenphar:
. . .
If Tegan has no objection or questions; head to the Inn and have Roland have a go at the chest.
Sounds good to Tegan! :)
Regarding the chest, I was under the same impression as Zenphar -- i.e., that the party had brought it to the keep. I can go back and look for the pertinent post(s) when I have a bit more time.
P.S. Here is the pertinent part of the IC post (Msg. #295 of "The Caves of Chaos" thread) wherein Tegan suggested carrying the chest back to the keep in the hopes that someone could open the secret compartment (after both Zenphar's and Tegan's own efforts failed):
Tegan:
. . .
Then he turned his efforts to opening the compartment in the chest, but his efforts looked even more cumbersome than the nimble Elf's.
"Looks like we may need to carry this back to the fort, if we want anyone to safely open it."
And finally, he turned to stare at the tapestry, only to shake his head with a mute lack of recognition a moment later.
OOC:
18:07, Today: Tegan rolled 6 using 2d20+2, dropping the highest dice only with rolls of 7,4. Dex Check re: Secret Compartment (Disadv.). Failure.
18:05, Today: Tegan rolled 12 using 1d20. Religion Check re: Tapestry (DC 15). Failure.
Comments: Egad! Tegan's efforts to open the secret compartment in the chest resulted in lower dice rolls than Zenphar's! Hopefully that tend does not continue (unless, of course, Zenphar starts rolling Natural 20's). :)
Insofar as I (OOC) can recollect, this is what was done (carrying the chest back to the keep).
