Re: OOC: Setting Creation and Out of Character
Name: Emily Kessler
What is this person fundamentally like?
A spunky, rising star of a reporter.
What kind of media outlet does they work for?
Print. The media outlet produces newspapers or magazines. Emily is also part of the online version of the Detroit Beacon.
What is the source of their greatest bias?
A Past Encounter. This person had a past run-in with a powered individual that left them scarred or in awe of people with powers.
Emily is works at David's Brock's newspaper, and is a better reporter than him. They where engaged to be married, but David broke it off with a text message and nothing else. Emily, way to smart to fall for such a dumb tactic, has managed to brow beat her editor, David's old family friend Bernie Jacobs, to what is really going on. David was shot and accidentally changed into Shade, and is too cowardly to confess it to her. Now she is trying to reconnect with him...and try and get the scoop of a lifetime.
How do they cover superheroes?
Opportunistic Coverage. Their work touches on heroes as just another source of news, no more exceptional than coverage of politics, sports, or entertainment news.
