A Past Encounter. This person had a past run-in with a powered individual that left them scarred or in awe of people with powers.

Emily is works at David's Brock's newspaper, and is a better reporter than him. They where engaged to be married, but David broke it off with a text message and nothing else. Emily, way to smart to fall for such a dumb tactic, has managed to brow beat her editor, David's old family friend Bernie Jacobs, to what is really going on. David was shot and accidentally changed into Shade, and is too cowardly to confess it to her. Now she is trying to reconnect with him...and try and get the scoop of a lifetime.

Opportunistic Coverage. Their work touches on heroes as just another source of news, no more exceptional than coverage of politics, sports, or entertainment news.

So that's the scene over. Will leave it up for roleplaying for now. I will be on holiday next two weeks, though I will have access to internet, I don't know if I'll have energy after babysitting my niece and nephew during daytime.

Evie needs a complete redesign, she is boring as hell tactically. She should wade through minions but has zero abilities that allow her to target multiple foes. Using overcomes to deal with groups of them feels like cheating, but Principle Of The Indestructable is about all she has for that kind of thing. Am not using a third of my Green and Yellow abilities, and two-thirds of my Red ones. Hrm.

Honestly I'd appreciate a minor rebuild as well...putting a full d12 into density manipulation seemed fun, but I ended up not using it until I was in the red zone basically. Radiant is a much more on theme power to have that strong.

@Shade. Janey would have started her career during the villainous takeover of Canada. She is very publicly vocal about publicly decrying the current Canadian government. She focuses mostly on helping refugees and has probably done some runs across the boarder in secret, so there are probably rumors about that.

We hadn't talked about there being a Canadian government in exile or anything.

If you've seen the Handmaids Tale, think something along the lines of what Captain America would do if her were exiled in Canada.
