I think all you need to use siccatate is the base weapon formula, and a higher skill. Expert to craft a lower grade siccatate item, master rank to craft a standard grade one, and legendary can create high grade ones. Then of course materials. And also of a level of the material and item too.

By rules Sakinah has everything except for the level to create siccatate weapons or armor. Need level 11 for standard siccatate weapons and level 12 for standard siccatate armor.

I been having to read them pretty heavy TBH because I have a player in my game that's pretty interested in them.

Plus add to that, in another game I play an archer and me and the GM and a couple other players were trying to figure out the crafting rules for arrows and realized that they sucked in 2e.

I haven’t looked at arrows I just thought that as they are consumables you can make more powerful ones at a lower level like I offered with the talismans of flaming

Basically any consumable and ammunition you can craft in batches. Consumables is batches of 4, ammo is in batches listed in the ranged weapons table, typically 10. And it takes the usual long crafting time to make the full batch, 4 days. Yup, 4 full days to craft 10 arrows, 4 healing potions, etc etc. Silly. 10 arrows in 4 days. British fletchers were making twice that in a quarter of the time in the medieval era.

So while crafting is MUCH simpler now, there is some flaws.

So, I looked into crafting a little more and I got so much wrong. The energy resistant formula requires you to be 8th level to craft that item. But the doc's prophecy promised 2 peeps be protected from fire.

As transferring runes seems only to have the difficulty of the rune level to transfer to another item this is what I am going to do.

The stopper and the lamp both have the energy resistance vs fire rune on them.

Here is what is possible due to the items/materials you all found in the sunken plaza and there value.

1.  Craft 2x weapons +1 striking min cost 100gp Materials + 4days per weapon (Craft DC 20)
2.  Repair/transfer runes on broken dagger +1 striking cost 10gp Materials + 1 day (Craft DC 20) this will create a 3rd +1 striking weapon of choice
3.  Craft Armor x2 with potency +1, cost 320gp + 4 days per armor (Craft DC 20)
4.  Transfer 2x energy resistance runes to armor cost 42gp materials and 1 day per rune  (craft dc 24)

This can be completed with your 2 magic crafters in 10 days total.
To achieve this in this time frame, I would need the following rolls:
Lupin   2x crafting rolls DC 20
        2x crafting rolls dc 24
Sakinah 3x crafting rolls DC 20

I gave you the 2 harder rolls lupin as you are more likely to succeed.

This will allow you to make 2 batches of potions Dr Rajeed. You will have to burn the full cost, rather than minimum cost as you have done with your calculations. And one batch needs to be antitoxin as you have the spider poison as an ingredient.

If you are ok with this, we will burn the 10 days + materials. They will be removed from treasure list and we move on.

(note: This is all done at full cost without taking extra time to reduce costs during crafting. You can get more items by taking months for crafting if you want.)

I guess the question is who will get the +1 striking weapons and who will get +1 energy resistant fire 5 armour. Who gets the gloves of the smith?

Sakinah should likely get the +1 Striking weapons. Also when crafting metal magic items she'd have a +2, she has Speciality Craft: Blacksmithing, so her crafting would be the same as Lupine's a +17.


14:11, Today: Sakinah Dakar rolled 32 using 1d20+17 with rolls of 15.
14:11, Today: Sakinah Dakar rolled 37 using 1d20+17 with rolls of 20.
14:11, Today: Sakinah Dakar rolled 20 using 1d20+17 with rolls of 3.  Crafting (Master level, Blacksmithing).

Two critical successes and a normal on her Crafting, Master, Blacksmithing.

Would that give Sakinah enough time/supplies to craft maybe a third weapon?

The answer is yes with time

currently

10 days + 950gp in materials (this depletes your material stores)

If you take an extra 45 days in crafting you can save enough on materials to craft 2 extra weapons
Would you like to do this?

If so I will need 2 more rolls. One from each lupin and Sakinah and you all spend 55 days in the sunken plaza.

My math isn’t exact as I am doing a bunch of assumptions and rounding but it is close enough.. I should make an excel sheet to calculate all this for me.

I'm all for taking the extra time since I managed to get the crit rolls that allowed us to save the supplies on the original items to make more in the first place.

I'm good taking whatever magic item is left over. I guess it would be good to have a +1 rune of striking or whatever, but I would rather have our hard core fighters get that first.

Ok let’s make it 55 days once a day you all get an hour sparbath care of doctor Rajeed (see https://2e.aonprd.com/Spells.aspx?ID=1000) just remember that create food and water will have to be cast each day. All in all it will be a desert retreat for a couple of months and give you all a chance to really get to know each other.

I am going to ask the following:
1. A crafting check from Lupine and Sakinah for the extra 2 weapons.
2. A small story about your characters past, what bought you here etc to share with the group, something you may have shared over the past 55 days.
3. Who gets what.

4. Who is carrying on with the adventure this is the list of players and classes some of you haven’t posted and failure to post for this will drop you from this campaign:

Ok I am going to give this a couple more days then if there are no posts, I will continue I will allocate equipment with the following assumptions based on the materials you had available:

1. Caelara Morning's Light and Joanna Durst will be taking a different direction when you all head out into the desert.

2. 1x +1 Staff of striking - Scath Oiche
   1x +1 Spear of striking - Dr Rajeed
   1x +1 Wishblade of Striking - Sakinah Dakar
   1x +1 Rapier/Shortsword of striking - Vander of Clan Fivetail
   1x Staff of evocation - Lupine (I am willing to do this staff Lupine but this will use up
      all the materials)

3. 2x +1 Desert Tarantella Leather armor of energy resistance (fire 5)
      Vander of Clan Fivetail
      Scath Oiche

4. Dr Rajeed I am good for you to craft those first set of potions. though with the time you have do you want to try to create formula for a stronger antidote as you have enough spider venom to do that, you will only end up with the formula and a successful antidote moderate. that will use all the tarantula parts. and I will need an extra medicine check.

From here we will move on. Hope peeps are happy with that.

Strictly speaking, Lupine needs to learn a few more spells before he can craft the staff.

That said, despite his complaints, he can eventually learn spells for free - all it takes is time.
