So where are my 3 whishes?

Sir Aeronon Blackgem climbs up onto the altar and examines the stopper of the large lamp made from metalic red material that at first you all thought may have been copper but on closer inspection seems a different metal that you have never encountered. He pulls out his steel dagger and began working at the sealant around stopper once most of it is removed, he then tries to pull the stopper free. His muscles bulge but the stopper still didn't pull free.

Again, he takes his dagger to the to what remained of the sealant. Then standing over the 5ft tall lamp and gripping it with his knees he takes hold of the giant ruby stopper with both hands. You all see his muscles flex and the veins bulge in his arms and legs as blood is pumped to his muscles. His face goes a tinge of red and with a sucking pop the stopper came free.

With a woosh and a roar flame erupts from the bottle over which Sir Aeronon Blackgem is standing. The roar of fire becomes mixed with the screams of pain as the top half of the brave knight is turned to a burnt husk. His legs with the burnt oozing stump atop them collapse to the floor as the lamp continues to spew flame. When finally, the flames reduce before you above the bottle buoyed on a cloud of flams in a creature from the depth of the plane of flames.

The creature stretches up its arms and screams,

خال! خال! أخيرا بعد أكثر من 1000 عام أنا حر!

It then turns its eyes to survey its surrounds.

OOC: Alight what will everyone do? I will need the following rolls from everyone,
1. Society check, if you want to try to understand it's language and what it just said.
2. Perception check for initiative.

The firey creature looks down at you all. Unphased by the body falling to the floor, like it was little more than a dying bug. It smiles then laughs.

"HAHAHAHA!!"

Then it stretches out an arm a flaming finger pointing at each of you in turn. It's long white sharpened teeth dripping with liquid flame, gleaming in it's mouth. It speaks your common tongue with an accent from a time long forgotten,

"Pathetic creatures.. I guess I should thank you for freeing me... Hahahahahaha .. Like I would be thankful to insects for being stupid insects. Now I must go, there is a world to burn. There are the ancestors of a particular saltan that imprisoned me so long ago that need torcherinlow roasting over an open fire. As thanks, I guess I will be gracious enough to let you live.. For now.. Live long enough to see this world of yours burn. Mawhahahaha!!!"

The being of fire laughs a deep full bodied laugh at you pathetic worms.

So where are my 3 whishes?

The creature of flame scoffs at Vander,
"what an insect like you thinks that you deserve a blessing like I could give. Ha! Pathetic worms you shall be granted your lives and that is all... Ugh!"
It grunts as a bolt of green light hits it from doctor Rajeed. It shakes its head then laughs again.

"MAWHAHAHA! What you think your puny magic could hurt me. Now it is time to wreck my vengeance."

It makes a face a little like it is constipated. It tries again and still nothing happens then the flaming rage rises in its face as it realizes it is trapped.

"HOW DARE YOU!!! HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO ME! NONE SHALL BIND THE MIGHT OF TARNOS, VIZIER TO THE FIRE SULTAN!"

It roars in rage then flies over your heads for the doors leaving a trail of flames. Even as you all act to prevent it's escape it manages to make it to the hole up to the desert where it flies 500feet into the air and begins to call magical energies unto itself. As you all rush out of the temple you have time to see the creature raise its arms and call forth a violent sandstorm of hot ash. Luckily you are all below ground but alas the creature has escaped leaving the way out currently blocked by a raging burning sandstorm.
Behind you in the temple all that remains is the empty Siccatate lamp and its Ruby stopper.

OOC: I am just going to move things on to the real story. Everyone accept Sir Aeronon has logged back on since I have revamped things up again so at the moment, he is the only one I will remove.
Can I get a crafting knowledge check for any who want to make it.

Says the doc lamenting the loss of their companion. He looks after the creature of fire and speaks again.

"It was not immune to the power of Ra. I make a promise to you all, the soul of the brave knight Sir Aeronon, and the mighty Ra himself. I will stop that creatures evil plans no matter the cost."

The doc feeling responsible makes a solemn oath to you all.

Running to the entrance to the ruins you find your way blocked by the burning sandstorm. This leaves you all trapped in the ruins until the storm subsides. You take the time to burry sir Aeronon.

[Secret to Sakinah Dakar: you find sir Aeronon's formula book in it is a formula to make armour resistant to fire and more potent, giving protection to the wearer the requirements for this include Ruby dust such as that that can be made from the stopper]

So where are my 3 whishes?

Days pass in the sunken Plaza as the burning dust storm rages above. as the wids scream above, now and then you even hear the laughter of the djini as it rampages above. Luckily your group is able to weather the storm, the djini doesn't seem to want to enter the underground Plaza knowing that this would put it at less of an advantage limiting it's flight abilities. It keeps the storm raging for days though. Within the sunken Plaza your group is unaffected by the djini's tantrums, but the camels and horses that were above don't fair as well. When you are once again able to exit into the desert you find your tents burnt to the ground and the animals cooked and some of them partly eaten.

This has given you all time to craft items or potions you all feel you may need, but without your animals the situation has become a little more dire for your group.

It might be fest to seek out a settlement and re-supply before continuing searching for the Raiders you were sent into the desert to find.

When finally, the rage of the djinn subsides you once again venture into the light of day new equipment ready one person down but ready to face the dangers of the desert. The Djinn has moved on seeking his revenge for long past transgressions. What is needed now is a decision on direction to take for without the animals you will be walking on foot through the deadly desert. Looking around the trail has been whipped clean, covered by fresh ashen sands. You remember that the fallen Oblisk lies too the west-southwest a full day's travel by camel. Luckily your spell casters can replenish your food and water supplies, at the cost of some of their magical power each day. It would be best to find water or a settlement soon.

OOC: could you please let me know what items you all make and who gets them. Anyone who wants to craft other things let me know, because I am moving on now.

Which way do you want to go?

So where are my 3 whishes?

For Dr Rajeed time seems to flow into a single continuous day. The days that he and his new comrades are trapped away from the light and grace of the almighty RA the lack of his light is torturous to Dr Rajeed. It is like his very life blood has slowed, this makes him tired and irritable. At the end of each day, he takes to creating a 20' wide bathing pool. This "Soothing pool" rejuvenates any who bathe in it healing any wounds and removing fatigue. He spends his time brewing healing potions as many as he can, sharing them with his comrades.

When at last the dust storms stop Dr Rajeed is one of the first to climb to the surface to bask in the light of Ra. He looks around at the desert seeing the sand dunes and sky and sun he smiles raising his hands he the calls to the sky,

"رع سبحانه وتعالى تبين لنا الطريق إلى أقرب المياه أو المستوطنة حيث يمكننا الحصول على الإمدادات."

OOC: he casts Know the way to the nearest oasis or setlement.

Also how many healing potions can he create?

The doc returns below ground feeling better that he has seen the light of the lord once again. He rejoins the group below and gathering them all in the entrance way to the plaza he addresses them all,

"My friends, our camels and horses are dead, the tents have been burned to a cinder, and our supplies have been destroyed. The evil djinn has gone leaving us at the mercy of this harsh desert. If we are to correct our folly, we need to track it down, but first we need supplies and better weapons and armor to combat the creature.  The light of Ra has shown me the way. To find the closest settlement or Oasis we should head west from here following his chariot as it rides across the sky. Follow the setting sun and we will find water, I am sure of it. Before we continue it would be best if you all took some of these."

Out of his healers bag he takes some potions he has made passing them to the others.

OOC: How many potions can I make?

Antidote

Scath has been doing his share of spell casting while the others have been crafting weapons. He took over creating the pool for Dr Rajeed so that he could concentrate on on the potions he was making. He also started creating a rejuvenating field to help the others feel their best after the long days spent working metal and spells.

Now on the surface he wraps his shemagh around his head and face to protect him from the bright sunlight. "That pool is going to feel good tonight is it not? Hmm?"

If the soft-spoken elven mystic had any remarks about the now freed djinn, he kept them all quite closely guarded.  Nor did he voice his displeasure at his advice being ignored and as a result a dangerous creature unleashed from where it had been safely jailed.  Nor did he remark on the extra strain of utilizing magic to supply water to the party.

He nodded.  Given the chance, he worked.  And if asked, he offered his guidance.

"This one humbly recalls that he is capable at desert survival, and can in fact care for others if needed."  Lupine remarked, head bowing for a moment as he spoke.  "This one, however, would urge we take only as much time as needed to prepare for battle with the evil spirit, for all the lives it takes bloody our hands."

So where are my 3 whishes?

"Yes, I am grateful the almighty Ra blesses us each day as he travels across the sky. I believe he has always had a plan for us. I have felt so low in my life, and he has pulled me from the depths of that hell. I remember when he first touched my soul. Returning from my studies one day I turned down an ally it was a shortcut that I had taken many times before, I found them there discarded on the streets in Azir like camel dung. They were beggars in bloodied rags, an old cradling a young girl. I suspect she had been hit by a chariot or a wagon such were her injuries. I did my best, but even with my education and all my medical knowledge there looked to be no hope for the child. I remember turning to the old man with tears in my eyes and he just looked at me with a toothless smile. His voice cracked with age his body so frail. He told me to pick up the child and follow him. There was little else I could do this frail old man must have been the child's grandfather I thought. I followed him into the city gardens usually busy but empty in the midday heat. He had me lay the child full in the sun. I did protest but he simply held up a hand and for some strange reason I was silenced. Then he looked to the sky and laying a weathered wrinkled hand on the child looked at me and smiled. It was strange feeling the warmth of the sun baking the three of us its warmth filled everything around us. The old man spoke simple words evoking tremendous power. and what I saw defied nature itself. The child's eyes flicked open; she sat up, looked around gave a small yelp and ran off into the streets of Azir. I was amazed, and when I looked again at the old man he wasn't there instead before me a young man stood in his place holding a spear and this ankh."

Doc holds up a worn holy symbol made of a fine wood inlaid with golden amber

"The man handed me the ankh. He said that no matter my skills only the gods truly hold power over life and death. He told me to take up the symbol and follow Ra. If I was truly devoted that I too could heal wounds beyond the skills of mortals. Honestly, I could not refuse. Though in doing so it has led me here for it was for the worship of him that I was sentenced to this mission. Anyway, we all came here in different ways we bet go down and get the bath ready."

Doc shrugs and climbs back down into the sunken plaza where he calls on Ra's power creating the hot bath for the group.
