I don't know much about "canon" stuff (I had to do a lot of reading to make this character, lol).  i love Star Wars but I have found that the more "hardcore" fans are the bigger buttheads they become, lol.  I did LOVE KOTOR and I tried to play the MMO but it was really WoWish.

Luckily for this game in particular, the KOTOR/2/TOR section of the Star Wars expanded universe is the only slice that really appeals to me. Aside from the sheer impact of the original trilogy, of course.

Whew, people are excited for some reason. =o It's like they want to do work for pay. Caught up on reading, so will be replying shortly. Just had the conclusion to a fun month for my best friend and housemate that took most of my day. She's doing well now, but some stuff coming up in August that will see me extra slow to being away for a few days as we find out the details.

Yeah, the Old Republic era has a distinct lack of meddling by both Lucas and Disney, so that enhances it as the best time. Plus it is so long with easily referenced ships, equipment, etc. that (also because of KOTOR) it is easily recognizable.

I joke about the only good thing to come out of the 'prequel' movies was the Clone Wars cartoon. I have played many SW video games, some better than others. I've read some of the novels. I own a lot of the old West End Games d6 Star Wars stuff (love that game for some reason). I have read a fair amount of the comics too (I thought the Legacy era was pretty interesting, and the New Jedi Order era was...okay).

No Disney+, but I am interested in seeing it. As far as Clone Wars, they did Grievous dirty for how awesome he was set up to be in the animated shorts.

There is a YouTuber who basically narrated his fanfiction to fix the prequel trilogy and it was really good, imo. Maul doesn't bite it in Ep 1, Anakin is already a Jedi with Obi-Wan, the clone army is actually a Sith creation of an orc-like species to dominate the Republic, Yoda doesn't just quit after one fight with Sidious who is also showing he is super-powerful with the Dark Side and not just "lightning bolt! lightning bolt!". Not perfect, but hella better and makes better story tie-ins to get people in their New Hope spots.

I haven't seen anything I dislike of Star Wars.  I enjoy all of the movies (1-3 being the most difficult to get through).  Empire, Solo, and Rogue One I watch all the time.  I watched Clone Wars once but I didn't enjoy it as much as I liked Rebels. The Mandolorian was good too but I think the explosion of "Baby Yoida" memes was a bit irritating.

Rogue One is the best of all the movies (sling your arrows, I will not budge). No Jedi, a bunch of Dirty Dozen esc soldier who know they are on a suicide mission, but go anyway for redemption. I cry every time it ends. It is beautiful.

My favorite quote was in a trailer but I don't think it made it into the movie, :(

"You're the rebellion right?  That's what I do, rebel." lol

Rogue one was great, but then again I've yet to dislike a movie with Donnie Yen in it. Chiruit and Baze were amazing.

I could agree with you on that. I enjoyed Rogue one.
