Re: Chapter 1: The Missing Shipment

Slightly to the north of the others, Sebastian notices that some of the crumbly dried clay may have prematurely eroded along this path in discrete patches. It is subtle, very subtle, so much so that you are not surprised you didn't see this before.

Antony's offering to the tiny beast is met with an ample helping of skepticism, but the draw of food is too much for the timid creature to overlook. It inches its way to him to begin gingerly nibbling at the morsels.

With the casting of the spell, the hare's focus is diverted and its eyes focus, then dilate towards Turnip.

Cassia flew over on her broom, she landed and took a long look at the area. "I have no idea but its definitely interesting" she said taking out her journal and sketching the area. "Maybe another Bullette?"

Re: Chapter 1: The Missing Shipment

The rabbit's telepathic response comes in a loud booming voice far outside the size of the hare would suggest, "You are with the FoodGiver. You choose to listen. I will tell you what I know. Others walked this path, many moons ago, shortly after the Stormshaker"

Jaxus walks to join the others in looking at the nubby-looking dirt.  He studies it thoughtfully for several moments.

ooc 20 to insight on what Stormshaker is?

Lyndra ignored the conversation between the druid and the rabbit, mumbling something about talking to wildlife.

She continued looking around

Re: Chapter 1: The Missing Shipment

As the group looks at the disturbance in the dried clay earth, the best they can come up with is that this would be the result of the very rare step that caused a disturbance in this terrain.

The mental connection to the hare continues. Its voice to turnip remains booming and bold, "The Stormshaker is the new plague to these lands. Arriving suddenly rumbling the earth and cloaked in storm. It leaves just as suddenly. The others that cam through here were Hindwalkers, just like you"

From the description, you begin to piece together that Stormshaker would be a pat description of the Lightning Rail.

Turnip nodded "The little guy says that others came this way after the rail, he doesn't like it much it's very loud." she turned to the others, "What else should I ask him?"

Re: Chapter 1: The Missing Shipment

Jaxus smiles as Turnip holds a conversation with a hare.  Something he had never seen done back in Flame Keep, despite the wonders he had seen there, and his own sorcerous abilities.  It is always something new since he left the temple city.  Simply amazing, he muses quietly.

Re: Chapter 1: The Missing Shipment

Lyndra stood by as turnip spoke to the rabbit, her expression unknown. “Great…stopping for directions from a rabbit. That’s a first for me.” The warrior was clearly impatient and tended for more practical ways to hunt - asking an animal was something she’d never do (or even think of)

Cassia turned to Lyndra, "At least she's getting answers right? I mean that's what we're hear to do." she smiled at the Assimar before she walked over to the strange dirt clump. She wondered what mysteries it held? "Does anyone have a shovel?"

No, says Jaxus.  But, I could tap at it with my walking stick.  He steps over to one of the areas of nubby dirt, standing a couple of feet away.  Stretching out his quartertaff, he taps at the patch of dirt.

The hare's mental answer is swift, "Therendor, the Hare Moon has risen four times since  the hindwalkers came. If the Food-Giver wishes to continue, it would be helpful."

She turned back to the rabbit, "One more thing brother, do you remeber anything about them? The way they looked, acted, smelled? How did they make you feel?"
